  1. Hey Kathliz, I interviewed on January 26th. Hope you get good news soon!
  2. I just got accepted into the FNP MSN-E program at Western University of Health Sciences. Has anyone gone through this program? If so, could you please share what you liked and disliked about the program. Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you! -Henrietta
  3. I've been having the exact same feelings ever since the interview. I really need something to help me take this off my mind. Every step of the application process has been pretty hard, but this last part-the interview and waiting- is definitely the most stressful of all. Seems like we'll get notification by march...but it feels so far away from now.
  4. Congratulations to all the good news! I'm getting a little worried now...I interviewed November 19th 2007 and still haven't heard back from JHU. Does this mean rejection? does anyone know the time frame of notifications to the applicants? I want to call the admissions office, but I don't know if it's appropriate to ask whether letters or calls are still going out.
  5. I live in SF and just got a letter from UCSF today. I'm invited for an interview for the FNP specialty. I'm so excited! You guys can't see it, but I'm doing my happy dance right now. Happy holidays and good luck to all of those who haven't heard yet.
  6. Oooh...I didn't know phone interviews were possible. That would be a much better option for me since it is very pricey to book airfare and hotel on such a short notice. It's good to hear that the admissions office is flexible with the interview arrangements. Good luck with interviews!
  7. Hi all! I got my interview invite through email today. I'm so excited and scared at the same time...I haven't gotten the actual letter yet though. In the email the interview dates were Jan 17, 18, and 22...does anyone know whether it's all three days or just a scheduled interview for one of the three? Kensington- I'm also a fellow San Franciscan! What specialty did you apply for? I applied for the FNP specialty. Have a wonderful holiday everyone!
  8. Hi fnp4me! I've applied to both JHU and Yale this year, and in my opinion I believe that JHU is a slightly better program. This is simply because JHU offers a BSN and a MSN as opposed to most schools where students get their RN licensure and then the MSN. In addition, JHU is very flexible with being able to take a step out year after achieving your BSN, and with changing specialties. I hope this helps...Have you applied already? I went to an interview right before thanksgiving, and won't hear back until february. What a long wait! Hopefully I get an interview at the other schools I've applied to. -Ham
  9. The interview was fun. The person who interviewed me, Denelle, made the whole experience not as nerve racking as I had expected. The school of nursing was really nice as well. I just hope I left a good impression...I wonder how much the interview is weighted in the whole application process. So Tamalama, have you decided to attend JHU or are you waiting on other schools?
  10. I'm definitely really glad that I can preoccupy myself with finals and christmas shopping. I'm trying to not get all worked up over interviews. Btw...congrats on your acceptance, teenyjo!:balloons:
  11. For those of you who have heard back from JHU, Did you guys apply for early admissions? I had my interview Nov. 19th, and was told that I probably wouldn't hear back until Jan/Feb.
  12. Congratulations, utexas08! :balloons:
  13. I finally decided for the in-person interview and scheduled the appointment today. Definitely pricey, but I figured it'd be a good chance for me to explore what JHU has to offer. I didn't apply for the early decision, and I'm sure the wait for the regular admissions is going to be a dread. Hen
  14. I'm still debating whether I should schedule a phone interview or an in-person interview. Either way...I'm ecstatic about it! Has anyone heard anything else about the JHU interviews? Good luck to all!
  15. Woo Hoo... Just submitted my application yesterday. I chose the FNP specialty, hope all goes well. Just really glad that's over with...here comes the hard part of waiting. Good luck to everyone! -Hen
