  1. wow. ok well I was on the alternate list and I have been accepted. I found out around last week so I was really excited to hear from them via email. I've been keeping myself busy and it really paid off which I think seems to be the main reason why they decided to admit me. I gave them an up to date resume and showed them just how interested i really was. I think Western is going to treat us with so much respect and show that they really care about our education, considering we are paying them 40k+...but I really think it is how much effort you put into your work...either way, it will be all worth it in the end.
  2. Dreamer-RN: Thanks for the info, that makes sense. If you don't mind me asking, why do you highly recommend Jefferson? Did you go to school here? Genu9ine: I turned in my application on the October 15th deadline. I heard from them in mid-January about an interview. The day of my interview I was offered admission to the APW program. That was really exciting! So it took them about 3 months after turning in the application. If you should hear by April 15th, that's about 2 months which is shorter than what I waited. Maybe there's less people applying now so it is faster for them to review the applications. That's my guess...but good luck to you! Update me with your plans
  3. genu9ine, i've gotten accepted to the APW track but im a bit concerned too because i have not seen forums regarding this track. A lot of FACT students but hardly any APW students. I received my orientation date, july 8th and am still uncertain if i am for sure attending school here. I'm from California and want to make sure that this school/area is some place i would like to live. do you know what their NCLEX passing rate is for the APW students? I found pass rates for the FACT and ASN students, but nothing for us. this is where i found it: http://www.jefferson.edu/jchp/newsinfo/BSN_NCLEX_10_26_09.cfm What else have u heard about the program? are you going to attend to this school for sure? i would love to hear some of your or anyone else's thoughts. Thanks!
  4. Hi all, After emailing I learned that my application file is complete and that she is still finalizing interviews. Does anyone know if there will be a waiting list? If so, how many people? As for my experiences and background, I received a BS with a Health Sciences degree, interned with an OB-GYN and volunteered in different departments in hospitals. Did anyone get accepted into the program already?
  5. Thanks, congrats to u too :) this is actually not my first choice, but i absolutely would love to go here. i am from the west coast and really want to try living on the east coast. it will do good to me..just living off on my own type of thing however there are some other schools in southern california that i am waiting for as well...it is a big deal too because if i ever decide to move back to california after receiving my msn at TJU, i have to retake the test and make sure i have completed all of california's requirements. I do plan to go straight through the MSN portion. During the summer, I am probably going to do some externships or something like that...to build up my resume. do you think you will be finishing it up too? or stop and work for a bit? i'm not too certain with my plan, but when im in the education mode..i dont know if putting it on pause will be a good idea, for me that is.
  6. hi all, i got a alternate list letter on saturday and im just curious, does anyone know how many people they have on this list? I really wish there was something we could do to help them make their decisions! like another interview, or essay, or letter...
  7. ive been accepted to APW fall 2010 as well! I have not done much research yet about the finance details, due to other reasons..I think on the link they send out that has a checklist of what to do before registration and orientation, may have facts/notes on finances and apples/dell..but not sure about specifically iphones, blackberry and ipods. but I'm glad to hear that someone else is talking about the program. there seems to be very few discussions on this forum about this program--probably because many rather complete their BSN within 1 year (FACT program). have you visited the campus?
