I just got accepted into the FNP MSN-E program at Western University of Health Sciences. Has anyone gone through this program? If so, could you please share what you liked and disliked about the program. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thank you!

Does anyone know what the schedule for the first few weeks will be? I know we won't start clinical rotations right away, but I'm trying to plan for a few weddings that will be that month! Thanks!
You will have welcome week, followed by a week off. Actual classes start the following Monday. Expect to be on campus 4 days a week, all day. You start clinicals around week 7 or 8, halfway through fall semester.
Im still on the alternate list too so Im in the same boat as you trying to figure out what to do next... I don't know if you saw or not that on page 25 there are two posts from people who were on the alternate list that got in. And someone else posted that someone from Western said the list usually starts moving in mid June- July so Im trying to stay hopeful with that! haha. Good luck to you!
it's just so frustrating not knowing where I stand on the waitlist. if I knew I was like number 50, I'd be filling out and sending in applications. UGH!!! I thought I was done with the whole application thing back in January. I don't wanna go thru it again. so for now I'm trying to stay positive and hope that helps in some way hah.
good luck to you too!!!
Has anyone been accepted into the MSN-E program that begins in August that is looking for a place to live near campus? I would really like to live with another (female) nursing student (preferrably one from my cohort) but I am not sure how to go about connecting with anyone. Also, do you know if a facebook has been created for our cohort? I know they did that last year, but I do not have facebook so I wasn't sure if one was created for this year. Please write back! Thanks!
I just got accepted, so I'm definitely in need of a roommate!!

There are very few of those. In the class of 2013, there were only 4 of us who were direct admit. The direct admit kids do not get a one on one interview. Instead they chat casually with the faculty over a free lunch which is still kind of an interview.
Congrats to all those who were accepted. Be prepared to sacrifice a lot to be successful.
