That's a sweet story. We have had a few weddings on our Oncology ward and it is always touching.

What a nice thing to do. Actions show how much she cares for her mother. I hope she makes it to her daugters reception.

About 3 weeks after we got engaged, my husband's mother's health declined. I threw together a bedside wedding, but she died before we could pull it off.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm sure she was with you both, just not physically.

Very heartwarming story! I've been present for a few bedside weddings as well... it's so nice to see patients celebrating good times with their families and not have to think about their illnesses.

btdt.
My water broke with my oldest (13 yrs old) on our way out the door for our wedding rehearsal. He wasn't due till August 20th , this was June 20th. He was born @ 6:45am the next morning. We called the JP and family and got married in a hospital conference room @ 3:00pm. They were going to give me a day pass to get married the way we had planned, but we didn't want to leave just in case something happened with the baby, nothing worse then regrets.

That story warmed and broke my heart both at the same time. I hope her mama can attend her reception.
