Waiting on Ivy Tech acceptance letters thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!

How about introductions and a little info about each person?

I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!

Davilyn, I'm sorry you didn't get in, that stinks especially since it was due to a scoring issue. Can I ask you, how long did it take for you to get transfer credit applied to your transcript? I had my transcripts sent to Ivy Tech last September and still have not ever gotten credit. It's ridiculous.

WOW! Congrats to all that have gotten their letters! :anpom: I have been without my internet for two days and it feels like an eternity! It took me over a half-hour to catch up on all the post...so congrats to all that have gotten their letters, welcome to all the newcomers, and to those who are still waiting, or didn't get into their first choice, keep your heads up! We are all here for you! :icon_hug:

And can I just say these little smile add-in's crack me up...Amy, was that you with the dancing baby...that one made me giggle!

i stumbled upon this website through google and i was like "wow, an answer to my prayers!" lol. i applied to the lpn program in indy and i am still waiting on my letter. i've heard they're mailing them out tomorrow but i'm not sure. to those who have received their letters already, congrats. and to those who haven't, patience is a virture. lol.

I got my rolling bookbag from LL Bean. I've had it for 3 years now and it's great. I love it. I can definitely recommend one from there.

Davilyn, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a horrible bummer to know that you did all the work and one mishap messed it up. Please stick around and let us cheer you on either for LPN or for next semester! :icon_hug:

Congrats to Momajo and Lennon!!!!!! It's crazy to look back at these pages and pages of waiting! All for a good cause in the end :yeah::yeah::yeah:

Wow!! Congrats to everyone who recieved their acceptance letters! I am from Fort Wayne and we have had some delays... Hopefully they will send them out tomorrow! For everyone still waiting for a letter... the waiting will make it just that much sweeter to actually get it... and then we can all celebrate. *wine

I got a reject letter for both programs for Lawrence! teboz said she got 191 and got into the PN program. I knew something must be wrong since I had 196. I emailed the director.... now I really don't want to make you ladies go crazy, but I found out they missed my PSY class- that was highlighted on the transcript! So I am now getting an acceptance letter for PN.

But Chris I think I am coming with you in the Spring! I am going to retake ANPII this summer for the A. I also asked what the cut off number was for ASN program, and she informed me that it is 207 (again at Lawrence)

I hope this helps more than it hurts! Believe me... that reject letter bites the big one!

Soooo....I called Ivy Tech Gary today and they sad that the letters will not be mailed out until July sometime. WHAT!!!! School starts in August. They really don't have their stuff together. Thank God I applied at Valpo tooo!!! It really sucks not hearing anything as of yet.

Congrats to all the new acceptance letters. Davilyn, I'm sooo sorry that you did not get in. Don't give up. Try again!!:wink2:

What a mess! I'm glad you will be getting in after all but sorry that you are on such a roller coaster. Are you thinking about waiting and retaking your course?

Hi Everyone! I am back from vacation!!

Congratulations to everyone that got a letter!!! Sorry to those who have not/or got not so great news!

I got my letter from Btown, so I got into the PN program, although I am an alternate for the ASN program!!! I wonder what the chances are that I will get to bump up to the ASN program.....anyone have any insight?
