Ivy Tech Nursing Application
Which info session did you go to? They told me at Indy that copies were acceptable, and the Anderson/Muncie campus needed to be "true" which I am assuming is the same as official...I wish they would have one standard..it is hard to keep them all straight!

ASN/LPN 1st Semester Nursing Program Schedule
Thank you for the info! How many days per week do you have clinicals? And are they all day? I am worried about the child care arrangements. My husband travels for work, so it should be interesting since I know that you cannot miss classes or clinicals! Overall, is the program what you expected?

Online CHEM101/BIOL201 - Summer
I, too, am not eligible for grands or state aid...I only have student loans. I started classes last fall ('08) and was told back in August that if I planned on taking summer courses I needed to take that into consideration when I was deciding how much of my '08/'09 loan amount I was going to accept. I did not accept the full amount, so I am assuming that I can still use it for the summer courses...at least I hope. Unfortunately, the Financial Aid office is not always consistant with their information, but I am pretty sure based on discussions with others who have had student loans that summer is just a continuation of the '08/'09 school awards, and the '09/'10 awards are not available until August. I don't know if this helps at all, but I hope so!

ASN/LPN 1st Semester Nursing Program Schedule
If you are a 1st semester or 2nd semester nursing student, can you give me an idea of what your class schedule is like? Also, did you have any input as to when you schedule your classes? I am hoping (keeping my fingers crossed) that I begin the program next fall, and I have no idea what to expect. They were sort of vague when I asked at the info meeting, and said to expect at least 2 full days of classes and two partial days of classes...I have three kids to consider and I am trying to figure out how much I need to save for childcare expenses! Also, I have heard that clinicals can be scheduled at all different times, sometimes as early as 6 am...has anyone found this to be the case? Thank you so much for your input!

ASN program in Anderson?
Good luck on the Teas tomorrow. I just took it for the second time on Monday and got an 88...I don't know if I should take it again or not before the April 1 deadline. Try not to stress too much (easier said than done, I know) I am just trying to stay focused on 102. I will be so happy when this semester is over...I just wonder, are the actual nursing programs as stressful as the application process??? If so, it is going to be a long 2 years!! :)

ASN program in Anderson?
I am going to apply this spring to Lawrence and Anderson as well. When I went to the info session for Anderson, they said the lowest score that got into the ASN program, she thought, was a 201. I spoke to a girl the other day, however, who is in the program at Anderson and she had 3 A's and 1 B and an 82 on her Teas and got into the ASN program (she also did not live in the region). I don't know anything about Columbus, but I heard (and of course, I cannot confirm) that the lowest score for the Lawrence Campus last semester was a 206. Now, I know that there are fewer applicants that apply for the spring semester than for the fall, but I don't know if that means the scores are higher. I don't know if this helps at all! This is so stressful isn't it???

Online CHEM101/BIOL201 - Summer
Hi Melissa, When you emailed the micro prof about the 201 online class, did you mention that you were thinking about taking chem 101 too ? I was just wondering if she thought it would be too much! I have already signed up for the same 201 section that you are in and I am thinking about taking both but I don't want to overextend myself this summer...it is supposed to be summer right? :)
