I am a nervous wreck waiting on whether or not I am accepted to my school's nursing program for this fall 2013, and thought that starting this thread may be able to keep myself and others company..........Please feel free to write anything while we wait.
Good luck to everyone who's still waiting. And for the newly accepted people, congrats :)
I'm sure those of u waiting will be accepted. What I did to keep my mind busy is workout. A lot. Lol. I'd go running and read sometimes just to keep from worrying too much. Talking to people helps too even if that sounds kind of lame. But again good luck everyone :)
I got my acceptance letter!! One important thing: originally I was rejected by this school. I couldn't understand why because I met the minimum requirements and then some. So I sent them a letter pointing out what their requirements are versus what I had already done, and then I asked them to get back to me telling me exactly why my application was rejected and what I could do in the future to make it more competitive. I couple days later I got an email apology from them and they told me that I could go ahead and schedule an admission interview. I went to the interview and , as you already know, I ended up getting in. Turns out that they overlooked one of the pre-req classes on my transcripts. My point is- it never hurts to be the "squeaky wheel"; if I had just accepted their original rejection I wouldn't be starting nursing school this fall :)

Congratulations! Way to go by sticking to your guns and asking I'm glad they were able to realize the error and get you in. You must be absolutely THRILLED!!!
Got accepted into an LPN program to start April 15th. You do what you have to do to get into school. Most important thing while everyone is sweatibg it out in BSN programs, Im getting real world expierence when I get out of school and while Im bridging over. My wife has an ASN and makes 70 a year in the O.R. A BSN is overated. You can make good money without one.

It kind of depends though where you live if hospitals will hire you as a new grad period. As far as I know in northern CO and the Denver area, you need to have a BSN as a new grad to get into a hospital. I'm sure this doesn't apply if you already have experience.
I'm so glad I found this thread, it makes me feel much less alone! I submitted my app in January for entry into the nursing major and we aren't supposed to hear back until early May, though I believe it's possible that we'll hear back at the end of April. Either way, the wait is killing me! I'm finishing up anatomy, micro and physiology this semester so I suppose I have enough to keep busy, but I keep getting distracted by this whole waiting process.
Congratulations on everyone who has gotten in and good thoughts to all of those who are still waiting!!!

Today is my birthday, went to the mailbox, saw a little ol' envelope from my school, thought, "oh great...not" opened it... and I was accepted!!! Yay!
