  1. Apparently I was not precise enough about what is going on. 1. I got accepted into the program. It's usually a 4 year program, but I have finished almost all of the first two years of the program when I was studying Biology at another school. 2. I am not trying to really "test out" of the class. I really mean I would like to skip it for now, or take it with my other nursing courses. I KNOW that I need it and I am not trying to just bypass classes. 3. The reason I want to do this is because I will have to wait another year and a half to start the nursing classes and have no other classes (other than A&P) to take in the meantime. 4. The school was stated you didn't need to have any pre-reqs done before applying to the program. I wasn't looking for people to tell me that I am trying to get out of something that I need. I know I need it guys. I have been studying A&P for MONTHS just to prepare myself for classes ( I have 3 A&P textbooks). Anyway, thanks for the advice everyone.
  2. Hi there, I am really looking for some advice here. I got accepted into a Nursing program for this fall, but today I got a call saying that I need to take A&P before I can enter the program in the fall. If not, then I can't start until fall of 2014 . This is really bumming me out. I was wondering if anyone knew of any tests I could take to "test out" of A&P. I wouldn't mind taking the classes later, I just want to be able to get into my nursing classes and clinicals this fall! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys!
  3. Thanks everyone for your responses! I'm just trying to get myself as mentally prepared as I can and I've already been studying A LOT of NCLEX material to help with the critical thinking. Between studying and taking care of my 16 month old, I'm pretty sure I will have my hands full. But it's always been my dream to be a nurse, and I know I will find a way to make it through all of this!
  4. Hi there, I just got accepted into a BSN program (yay!) and I was wondering about how much I should expect to dedicate to studying? I've always been a good student and usually don't have any problems remembering things, but I wanted to see how others dealt with nursing school. Thanks in advance guys! :]
  5. I would try the HRSA Nursing Scholarship, I know there is a thread on here somewhere... Anyway, I'm applying to it! They pay for all your tuition, books, fees, and a stipend. It's pretty competitive, but it's worth a shot. But the due date for the application is May 2nd! Hope that helps! Here's the website too! Scholarship Program
  6. Today is my birthday, went to the mailbox, saw a little ol' envelope from my school, thought, "oh great...not" opened it... and I was accepted!!! Yay!

  8. Hi! I'm waiting on an acceptance letter too. I'm transferring from another college with a 3.18 (yikes) and took the TEAS V in January and got a 81.7%. I'm really hoping I get into the program, I've been on here every day watching others and trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can!
