Waiting on acceptance/rejection letters

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am a nervous wreck waiting on whether or not I am accepted to my school's nursing program for this fall 2013, and thought that starting this thread may be able to keep myself and others company......:nailbiting:....Please feel free to write anything while we wait.

So here is my gripe. On top of waiting and stressing over acceptance, letters go out by the 29th of this month. Alas, registration starts on the 25th of the month. See any problems here?

That's much the same with my program. If every person who needs to register for those classes is waiting for a letter then it won't be too big of a deal.

Same here with my program. I called the college and asked about it and was basically told not to worry, I won't have much of a say in it all anyway, but I won't be stranded without my courses. They told me since they limit the classes to nursing students only and you have to go through a series to progress then you aren't fighting for classes.

Interview for me was last week, tomorrow is the committee meeting to decide who is getting in. Seriously anxiety-provoking week.

I haven't officially applied yet, but won't know until the end of June.

True that there is not a problem registering for nursing classes with accepted students. What about getting a decent working schedule if you are not accepted? Plus i need one additional course in addition to nursing curriculum in order to maintain a full time course status. I am sure this all seems petty, but it could be extremely difficult for some to balance work, school, and family while the schedule fills up.

My school is taking forever too. A lot of surrounding school in the area have already sent their letters out:nailbiting:

Has anyone here applied for VCU's traditional nursing program? They said they'd notify us by email, I've seriously been checking everyday all day. I never close out my email on my browser on my computer on my phone. I just keep hitting the refresh button. If I don't get in here, I still have a community college as backup, but I really want to get in at VCU. Right now I'm a senior finishing up a general science degree in the summer. I've been applying since I my freshmen year, but since I wasn't getting in, I had to take up another degree in the process.

My application due date was Feb 1st and their suppose to be emailing us in late March to see if we got in. I'm going crazy

I've applied to the school I meticulously chose several years ago when I decided. Of course I've applied other places, but this is the THIRD, yes third, time I've applied to this particular school! I want to know what else I can do to make myself more appealing to this school and others if I decide on them?

Today is committee day for UCF! With no backup plan in sight, let's hope today works in my favor!!!!!

Best of luck to you!!

I still have about 4-4.5 weeks before decisions come out. ALTHOUGH, I did receive some good news regarding my admissions status at one school (deadline isn't until summer). :)

I'll know officially within the next week or two.

The deadline for my school isn't until May 15th and then we will know no later that June 15th. I go to take my entrance exam on May 3rd and I am soooo nervous!! I am like everyone else and have waited so long to get to this point I don't know what I will do if I don't get in.
