I am a nervous wreck waiting on whether or not I am accepted to my school's nursing program for this fall 2013, and thought that starting this thread may be able to keep myself and others company..........Please feel free to write anything while we wait.
That's much the same with my program. If every person who needs to register for those classes is waiting for a letter then it won't be too big of a deal.
Same here with my program. I called the college and asked about it and was basically told not to worry, I won't have much of a say in it all anyway, but I won't be stranded without my courses. They told me since they limit the classes to nursing students only and you have to go through a series to progress then you aren't fighting for classes.
Interview for me was last week, tomorrow is the committee meeting to decide who is getting in. Seriously anxiety-provoking week.
True that there is not a problem registering for nursing classes with accepted students. What about getting a decent working schedule if you are not accepted? Plus i need one additional course in addition to nursing curriculum in order to maintain a full time course status. I am sure this all seems petty, but it could be extremely difficult for some to balance work, school, and family while the schedule fills up.
Has anyone here applied for VCU's traditional nursing program? They said they'd notify us by email, I've seriously been checking everyday all day. I never close out my email on my browser on my computer on my phone. I just keep hitting the refresh button. If I don't get in here, I still have a community college as backup, but I really want to get in at VCU. Right now I'm a senior finishing up a general science degree in the summer. I've been applying since I my freshmen year, but since I wasn't getting in, I had to take up another degree in the process.
I've applied to the school I meticulously chose several years ago when I decided. Of course I've applied other places, but this is the THIRD, yes third, time I've applied to this particular school! I want to know what else I can do to make myself more appealing to this school and others if I decide on them?
