Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
I applied for the PNP and received an email that my status was updated last night, but I don't think anyone should worry about it yet.
I admit I was at first pretty worried because of the whole undergraduate John Hopkins disaster that was all over the media yesterday. I was worried that the acceptance might have been a mistake. But I figure what are the chances Vanderbilt made the same mistake? lol.
No news for me, good or otherwise - I applied for PMHNP, looks like all the other specialties have gotten word back. I keep checking my application just in case they update any info on that before sending out an email.
Nonetheless - glad to hear good news for so many of you! Hopefully Vanderbilt is willing to take it easy on the deadline, it's crazy that their deposit deadline is a month before Yale is scheduled to even release decisions.
Snoozyd--I applied to the FNP pre-specialty program and I haven't received any news back either. Like Bostons said, they are likely releasing the information in rounds. Maybe it has to do with the time we submitted our apps? Either way, they're just making us sweat a little more
As far as good places to live in Nashville, my husband and I lived out in Bellevue and really liked it. It's about a 10-15 minute commute to Vandy depending on traffic. There are several parks with great walking/running trails, plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Mt. Juliet and Hermitage are also good places to consider, but you're going to experience *much more* traffic living on the East side compared to the West side of Nashville. If you're hoping to be within walking distance of school, there are a variety of condo and apartment options close to Vanderbilt that are in safe and walkable areas with access to lots of shopping and eateries. You're just going to pay more due to location. Hope that helps!

Congratulations, lwestlak! I was also accepted into the PNP program! I am so shocked and excited because honestly, I was preparing myself for the worst.
Like others, I am also waiting on decisions from other schools, including Yale, which aren't due to be released until after the January 30th commitment. If anyone else speaks to Vanderbilt about this situation in the coming days, would they mind sharing it here?
Congratulations to everyone!!!
