  1. This. I loved multiple choice questions when prepping for NCLEX because I could almost always get them down to 2 answers. The "select all that apply" questions were tough and really tested what I knew, rather than my deductive skills.
  2. Got a participant email! if you didn't get it this year then def reapply next year. I didn't get it for the 1st year when I applied either but got it for the second year of my MSN.
  3. I can't pretend to have any idea what you are going through, but if you are genuinely having feelings that life is pointless then I would strongly suggest you go to the mental health/counseling center on your campus asap. Also, I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed by some of the responses in this thread. It's really not that hard to show a little empathy when someone is having a rough time.
  4. Hi tessag12! I wanted to weigh in and let you know your GRE scores definitely will not disqualify you from getting in. I am a prespecialty student in the FNP track and I got pretty much the same scores as you, including the 4 in writing. Honestly, I would not worry about it.
  5. I received my acceptance around the middle of December and I had applied by the November deadline for early decision. Keep in mind that was just for prespecialty FNP. I think the other specialties are on different schedules. Also, things might be different whether you are going in with as ASN, BSN, or doing the presepecialty route (non-nursing bachelor's degree) like me. Take a look in last year's Vandy MSN thread. A bunch of people from peds, psych, acnp, & gero were on there talking about the application process too.
  6. Hey everyone! I'm a current FNP prespecialty student and I'd be happy to answer any questions if I can. I was all over this site last year while waiting to hear back from Vandy so I totally understand the anxiety that comes along with applying. I may not reply immediately but I'll check back every now and then. Good luck on your applications!
  7. I just realized there are people who posted before me who were waitlisted and didn't interview. Sorry for the question that was already answered!
  8. Waitlisted. For me that makes two waitlists, a rejection, and an acceptance. I was kinda hoping to get into Seattle U because I already live in the area but now it looks like there is a whole lot of Vanderbilt in my future. On a side note, did anyone get waitlisted who didn't interview or am I alone in that? I thought for sure I was going to get rejected because I never got called for an interview.
  9. Denied. My wife called me to tell me. Bummer. Oh well. Looks like I'm headed to Vanderbilt.
  10. Has everyone who got a letter been accepted or has anyone heard of a rejection letter coming this early?
  11. My status now says "Decision Mailed." Seeing as I live in Seattle it might be a couple days until it reads "Decision Opened."
  12. I just checked my application page and there's no new update.
  13. I'm in the same boat. I was accepted to Vanderbilt, waitlisted for MGH, and haven't heard anything from Seattle. And since I already live in the Puget Sound area I was kind of hoping that I'd get in there.
