Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
Hi all, when I spoke with a lady in Admissions today, she said decisions are being sent out later this week and next week by email. I applied to the FNP pre-specialty program by the priority deadline. She said that since the FNP program has such a large number of applicants, it may take a little longer to hear back about FNP, but it should be no later than early January. Fingers crossed!
Hello!I submitted my application at the very last minute on November 1st, and was wondering if my application status should say complete? All transcripts, scores, etc, have been turned in and accepted.
I am graduating with my BSN this December, and applied for the MSN/FNP program with out of state clinicals. Does anyone know if it is more/less competitive if you are applying with a BSN?
Best of luck to everyone!
I live here and I have heard that the prespecialty route is a much more competitive pool. You can always work a year and reapply. The pool for BSN full time is not as competitive, at least compared to part time. Everyone wants part time. I think that simply because once people start working, start a family...a full time option is not the best way. For me, being single and young, full time is the best.

Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised with Vandy for this quick turnaround even with interviews for some of the specialties (although it does worry me they didn't do interviews for psych this year). Hopefully there's good news in the future.
I applied for the FNP direct entry by the priority deadline. Is there anyone else out there :-) SO nervous
I'm right there with you. I want to check my application all the time just to see if anything has changed but I will drive myself nuts if I obsess about it. Plus, I don't get anything done at work!

Yesterday Yale sent out interview decisions. I got nothing done all day. I like that these decisions could come in the mail first, that way I'll have to stay busy at work to pass time until I can run home to check the mailbox.
I know that feel. I'm actually really glad Vanderbilt is sending out decisions as soon as they are because all the other schools I've applied to aren't sending out decisions until February or March. Of course, it doesn't help that I have a ton of downtime at work that I spend trying to keep busy with either wikipedia, reddit, or this message board.
Aside from Yale where else are you applying, Snoozyd?
