Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,

I am also applying! I attended an open house in March and they said they it was important enough to want to do well on. They mentioned having at least a 153 or higher and a 4.5 on writing. I would say that as long as you're above 150, you'll probably be okay provided other areas of your application are strong! What specialty are you applying for?
Thanks for the help! I take the GRE on the 4th and I'm nervous!! My sample test scores have been low, but "passable."
I'm applying to the AG-ACNP specialty. You?

Yes for Vandy 4.5 on the writing is a must and a gpa above a 3.4 I don't care what it says online those are basically the minimum.
Do you know if that's cumulative, nursing or sciences GPA?
If I recall correctly just cumulative.
Good to know. Thanks!!
I am also applying for adult gero acute care!! I'm really nervous! I'm taking the gre on the 17th
Awesome!! Good luck to you!! Can I ask what your GPA is? Do you have a lot of experience? I'm worried I'm nowhere near good enough to get in!
I have a 3.5 and work as a cna but I too feel like I don't have enough going for me and I'm aiming too high applying to Vanderbilt! What about you?

I'm applying for this too and it makes me nervous. I don't have a BSN so I'm doing the third option listed on the admissions requirements page which would be entry level, I guess...
I did volunteering abroad in a hospital and also some healthcare stuff here but no formal nursing work experience as I am not a CNA or anything... I hope I'm not in over my head :/
My cumulative GPA is 3.6, GRE: 155 Verbal,164 Math, 5.0 Writing. Hope that's good enough to compensate for the resume! I'd like to do pediatrics or FNP probably
