MGH IHP DE NP 2018
Also I had classmates from across the entire country and I had job interviews all across the country. All of my classmates have jobs and people only care about your certification and competence. No one cares about where you graduated from.

MGH IHP DE NP 2018
From a recent graduate of MGH in the DEN program, not having your BSN awarded will not be a factor in getting a job in Boston.

MGH IHP DE NP 2017
Most students live in Cambridge, Somerville, the North End and the South End with some Beacon Hill and Back Bay. When I say most I mean a lot of those that did not already live in Boston, so those that moved to Boston. Very few live in Charlestown. There are plenty of ways to get to campus. Many live far outside the city and commute into the city on the train or drive. Most two bedrooms in Boston proper will be that expensive.

Each speciality is different, but usually about 20 each +/- 5 except the dual women track which is only a few.

MGH Direct NP program 2016
Someone asked when they admitted students day is, it's March 5th. They'll notify you all soon. If you're super far away I'd say there's no need to brave the Boston winter or expend a whole lot of travel, it's a good day to visit, but in no way a requirement.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
For those that are not from Boston coming next weekend for the open house, keep in mind that the vast majority of Boston is still recovering from essentially a month long blizzard that has crippled the transit system and severely dampened the usual groove of the city. Patiences and understanding will probably be required as you try to get around.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
They typically take around 100 students, it varies each year.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
If you're accepted you are accepted to the track in which you applied or that's typically how it works, sometimes specialties are full so you could be offered a different one. I do believe there is an accepted students open house thing next weekend, they might not have said that yet. But if you live super far away then obviously don't worry about it, unless you're just itching to enjoy the bitter Boston cold.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
It'll be early February for MGH. I'm certain.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
MGH will email acceptances within three weeks, probably two, while all of the emails will come on the same day they may not come at the same time, probably in the morning. So don't freak out if you haven't heard and someone else has, it'll be there.

Simmons vs Northeastern vs MGH direct-entry nursing fall 2015 start
I'm at MGH, I love it. Very happy with my decision to attend and I did select it over NE on site and a few other schools out of state. Clinical placement is excellent, you receive good instructors, scheduling can be kind of funky, but educationally wise it's been great so far.

MGH IHP Direct Entry NP 2015
MGH is a pretty great program, especially for psych, although all of the programs are good. Very great clinical placements in Boston. I do know the exact acceptance rate BUT it's best not to know. Just dont worry about it! Prepare your app and wait and see. I do not think it affects your application if you have worked for Partners, but it also doesn't hurt. It's always nice to have people familiar with the system, but at the same time they take students form all over the nation. Yale is obviously a great school, but just keep in mind they do not grant a BSN. Is it a big deal? I'm not sure, there's some debate whether it matters or not. You can make up your own mind. I'm sure you'll get a good experience at either program.

Online direct-entry NP programs?
Oh Vandy is great, I think there's is well enough balanced between distance and on campus. I visited there and like it, which I would recommend. They are very competitive though as with every Direct entry program. And if you're gonna take the plunge then just do it. There are about a 1,000 students spending the same amount each year. If NP is your goal and you are certain of that, then definitely go direct entry as your first option but investigate other options that will get you there as well at the same time.
