Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
Hi everyone! I applied for the FNP program at Vanderbilt and I have a question...once our applications are being reviewed by faculty, does the status on the Application Management page change from 'Submitted' to something else, like 'Reviewing,' or does the status remain 'Submitted' during the process? Thanks! And good luck to everyone! :)
@porgybess so you had your interview for Vandy already? Cool. I haven't gotten a call yet for the psych program. Has anyone else gotten their interview call?
I haven't heard anything at all for the psych dept...hopefully that just means, like PorgyBess said, that the psych director hasn't started on the interviews yet. Since last year's deadline was in December, and they reached out about interviews in January, I'm guessing we'll hear this month since we're one month past deadline now. Yale says they'll notify by Dec 15th, so maybe (hopefully) Vandy notify very soon!
Hey S-lizzy!
I have applied for the PMHNP program at Vandy, and I was curious about the the psych faculty. I'm not sure if you have been in contact with very many of the psych faculty members, but I was curious whether or not any of them were involved in consultation-liaison psych nursing. I have been to the faculty page, but many of them lack links that describe research/practice interests. Thanks for your time and help. I hope all is going well.
I'm curious if anyone who applied for a specialty that does not require an interview has heard anything about admission, either in the form of an email saying their application has moved to faculty review (from reading past threads it looks like this is something that happens) or in the form of an actual decision. I applied for Women's Health, by the way. My fingers are crossed!
One comment from last year said someone had heard their admission decision in mid-December, the rest of the comments looked like people heard in March, and I know someone here posted that the school is hoping to let early action students know by late January. So with all the different dates floating around, I was just curious to see what you guys have heard!

Yeah, mine was a week ago from last Friday. I wouldn't worry because each specialty director does it at their own pace. Maybe the psych director hasn't started doing interviews yet.
