I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!

You might be right! Actually, some threads say December 1st was the deadline and this time around it was November 1st, so hopefully...

In years past it looks like interview notifications were sent out the first week or two of January and continued through that month! Such a long time to wait!

Whoa, whattt! Are interviews in person or phone?

The interviews are on the phone, but only certain specialties require them. As far as I know, the dual programs at the psych mental health program require them.

Hey all, I am a current pre-specialty student in the Psych specialty. Just putting this message out there to let you know I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone may have about the first year, application process, etc. I was in your shoes a year ago sweating out admissions decisions on this site! It's a great program and the faculty are top-notch. Best of luck to you all - you WILL end up where you are meant to be! :)

Hi s-lizzy! I was actually reading the thread from last year to see what everyone was saying! Sounds like I have a lot of stress to look forward to! I'm a CNM/FNP applicant and I had my interview about a week and a half ago. Our application deadline was a month earlier than last year for some reason.

I went to the open house in October and it seems like such a good program with high quality professors. Is the first year as stressful as they made it seem in open house? I know it's a pretty big group of pre-specialty students, do most of you study together or is it pretty competitive amongst the students?

@porgybess was your interview for both CNM and FNP or just one? I heard they might interview separately for those but I am not sure! I am a CNM applicant and haven't heard anything about interviews either @DCBW...
