Vanderbilt MSN 2015

Published

Hello,

I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!

Best regards,

I was told by the school that I would hear this week. I am priority deadline for acute care NP. I'm sure all the programs are completely different in how they contact the applicants.

Received a call today letting me know I was accepted to the CNM program (prespecialty)! Still waiting on the FNP portion, but thrilled about midwifery.

Congrats, mivsy! I still haven't heard anything from the psych dept. I reached out to them and am hoping they're still planning interviews...

I applied for acute care NP. I am so nervous about finding out. My GPA and GRE are not the best but I work as a charge at Vanderbilt and was in the residency program. Good luck to everyone!!! I am so glad to hear I am not the only one is is freaking out.

For those of you who applied to the psych prespecialty program, turns out there are no interviews for psych this year!

I love not having interviews... As nice as it is to talk with others and visit the school, I really need to save up for graduate school! x_x hope to hear from them soon

For the acute care NP do you know how they will notify us? I wonder if it will be by email, mail, or phone.

Bhartley,

Are you pre-specialty (non-BSN) or direct entry (BSN) for acute care? Also, as allisonlynn asked in the previous post, did they mention how they would contact acute care applicants (phone, e-mail, etc.)?

I applied for the FNP direct entry by the priority deadline. Is there anyone else out there :-) SO nervous

Congrats Mivsy on your acceptance into the midwifery program! I am sure you will be accepted into the FNP as well!

I've been following this thread for several months now, and I am looking forward to seeing more people posting about their acceptance into their chosen specialties!! :)

Agreed - and now I don't have to worry about saying something really stupid or being so nervous I forget everything I wanted to ask. Maybe someone already answered this question but I couldn't find it - anyone know when prespecialty applicants will hear decisions?

Hey, I am direct entry. Just going for my MSN. I'm not 100% sure but I bet they will just either email or change the status to admitted on the app page. Later will probably come a letter in the mail. Just a guess though :/

Also, acute care did not have interviews.
