Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
DCBW, you're dead on. This is my second year applying to NP programs. If I'd given up last year after feeling so bummed about getting turned down then I never would have gotten in this year! I took the extra year to get into an entry level job in the medical field and bust my but on my last prerequisites and it totally worked out.
Everyone who is still waiting, don't give up hope!
For those accepted, do you see a link on your application for financial aid? I applied for aid but don't see an award or anything like the letter says I should. Or does that mean I didn't get anything. I emailed the person from financial aid but won't hear back until Monday.
Yes, this was the same on my letter and application page, so I'm curious about this as well.
I'm still feeling this sense of gratitude, which is also for you all here. I followed this nursing forum for many months before creating an account, so now when I see any of us get a step closer to our dreams (in whatever way, shape, or form), I get a thrill out of that too!
Psuche,
I have also been following this thread for quite sometime now (since June of this year). I remember when this thread had only a few posts, and I'm thankful a lot of people found this thread to help guide them in the whole application process. It was indeed very stressful applying and waiting for acceptance results. This thread gave me comfort along the way by reassuring me that I wasn't the only one super anxious about getting into the program. Congrats again to everyone who got in! I look forward to being classmates with you guys!
Bostons,
Let us know what you hear about financial aid! I am curious about it too.
On Saturday I received a packet with financial aid details, a welcome letter, and an academic calendar. I also received a $4500 scholarship!
It looks like the first semester starts in August. This will actually be the first time I attend a school with semesters so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like.

Yes, the email linked to an update that I was admitted into the psych specialty, so it looks as if those notifications are coming out. Best of luck everybody!
