Valid Reasons To Not Get Vaccinated

Whether you're in support of the COVID vaccine, against it,  or on the fence please use this particular thread to cite credible, evidence-based sources to share with everyone so we can engage in a discussion that revolves around LEARNING.

I'll start:

The primary concerns I've shared with others have to do with how effective the vaccine is for those who have already been infected.  I've reviewed studies and reports in that regard.  There are medical professionals I've listened to that, in my personal opinion,  don't offer a definitive answer.

Here are some links to 2 different, I'll start with just 2:

Cleveland Clinic Statement on Previous COVID-19 Infection Research

Reduced Risk of Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 After COVID-19 Vaccination — Kentucky, May–June 2021

I get that you are just listing things that people might consider valid reasons; these are just my responses to those points, I'm not making any sort of comment on your personal beliefs.

Can you explain why critical thinkers would look at those numbers and think vaccines were not effective? Lets use your numbers and evaluate:

Two trains each carrying 1,000 people collide. Train A has no seatbelts and 597 of 1,000 die. Train B has seatbelts and 250 die. Are seatbelts ineffective because 250 people still died? Or did they save 347 lives?

Because achieving a high rate of herd immunity through natural infection is unthinkable.

They want 100% no death. I have seen people died in their sleeps. I hope they won't look it up and end up not going to sleep because there's no 100% guaranteed that sleeping can send people to death, 5oo. LOL

Well, yes. The title of the article you posted is:

”Pfizer Vax Safe, Even Among the Highly Allergic — Israeli study found enhanced protocol helped treat any reactions quickly”

So, yes.

From your source;

Quote

CDC's current interim recommendations state that the COVID-19 vaccine is contraindicated in individuals with a prior severe allergic reaction (such as anaphylaxis) after the first dose, as well as in patients with a history of immediate allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine.

Do you live in Israel or are you recommending something not supported by current CDC guidance?

You seem unable to comprehend the difference between a public health approach and an individual approach.

That's what I thought. You can't answer the question so you use criticism as a cop out. The cowardice of that response is comedy.

Let me dumb it down a little more to make it easier to answer.

Suppose you, Boston own a own clinic, and you mandate your employees to take the vaccine.

What do you say to the employee/survivors who suffer an injury/death after complying with your vaccine mandate?  Answer the question then talk all the crap about me you want to make yourself feel better ?

That's when the allergies outweigh the benefits then there are exempted from that kind of vaccines. That's why it's very very important to list everything. Didn't you know this?

There are people who are allergic to peanuts, condoms,...too many to list.

From your own article:

After 218 of the highly allergic patients received the second dose, 1.8% experienced minor allergic reactions and none had anaphylaxis, the authors wrote in JAMA Network Open.

The study "provides additional reassurance that most highly allergic persons will not have allergic reactions to the SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines," said Elizabeth Phillips, MD, of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, in an accompanying editorial.

CDC's current interim recommendations state that the COVID-19 vaccine is contraindicated in individuals with a prior severe allergic reaction (such as anaphylaxis) after the first dose, as well as in patients with a history of immediate allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine.....

I see they don't recommend those who have a  history of SEVERE allergic reactions to the vaccine itself and any components, namely polyethelene glycol. Prudent.

I don't see anything new or scary here.

Why are you offering another irrelevant question rather than discussing valid reasons to remain unvaccinated.  Is it simply a vehicle to [checks notes] "talk crap to make yourself feel better"?

He sounded like my ex, or his another archetype. LOL

If that's him, that's because he works from home. Lmao

Thank you for your comments!

To be clear, I am not against the vaccine . I didn’t take it because I had COVID 19. My question was?

if the intención is to achieve a high rate of herd immunity why my natural immunity isn’t enough?????
why am I obligated to take the vaccine?

How long do you believe your natural immunity will protect you?

Everyone here is going to tell you it's because the CDC says you're more likely to spread COVID without vaccination.

Nevermind the fact the vaccinated can also spread it and are having breakthrough infections.

While those may be supportive arguments for taking the vaccine if one chooses, I disagree the ambiguity of such reports rises to the level of compelling the previously infected to take the shot.

Just a friendly heads-up from a fellow forumite.. You might not be aware, but we have a resident forum sheriff who is constantly berating posters for being rude. He’s a rather tenacious sort. I actually tried to count the number of posts where he has reprimanded people for their posting style.. I reached 102, but got a whopper of a headache and kind of gave up the project.. (Between you and me, he does appear to have a borderline pathological fixation on netiquette.. But shush, don’t tell). Anyway… Your post is the exact type of post that he will come down on like a ton of whining bricks, so perhaps edit it before he sees it? I’m just being a good friend here and I  promise I will edit my quote of your post if you manage to fix it before he arrives on scene).
