Hello! I'm posting here to get any feedback from previous UWSoN students or current prenursing students who are applying for the 2019 cohort. A little bit about me is that I'm currently a student at OC in Washington, my prereq GPA for UW's required classes is about a 3.81 and my cumulative GPA is a 3.7. I have been working as a CNA/Medication assistant for almost half a year and will be continuing working until I move to Seattle for school. Any advice is greatly appreciated on housing, how to study for the proctored essay, and any way to better my chances! Thank you!
Notifications have gone out! Good luck to everyone invited!
As always, this is a very difficult process when we have so many well qualified, capable applicants. Our review committee has to try and identify various qualities within applicants that match our core values. If capacity wasn't an issue, our jobs would be way easier.
If you were not asked to take the Proctored Essay, you will have the opportunity to meet with me starting in May. As stated in the email, I ask that you hold off on reaching out to us until then. We will not schedule anything until May comes around, when I open up my books.
For anyone that successfully submitted an application and DID NOT receive an email, please contact me at [email protected] so that I can look into it.
I just got an invite! I literally screamed and jumped. Acceptance is still such a long shot but it's funny how much it's affected me anyway!
Shayeb, I'm so sorry. I really don't think it would be due to a lack of experience, considering how you have so much. Like Adrian just said, it's awful how they have to turn away so many well qualified applicants. I am positive you would make a fabulous RN-BSN!! If being a nurse is what you need to do, keep pushing, keep going!!
