Sorry I didn't want this post to get mixed up with the other thread haha it's so long.
Anyways wondering if anyone else applied for the Spring 09. Im also wondering if its worth buying the study guide for the TEAS that they are selling and what kind of questions they ask you in the interview.
I'm so nervous because mine is coming up!
-Thanks Duc
Lily, the loan reimbursement thing is only offered by specific hospitals (I forget which ones >.
Anyone find a nice apartment place yet? God i'm using a apartment locater and the internet and its just so hard I guess my price range is a little low but a 1 bedroom is just so damn expensive. I found some furnished apartments at that were decent about $550 for a single but ugh apartmentratings.com gives horrible reviews for everything haha.

Most of what I've been reading is that there are a lot of nursing jobs out there. But, most of them seem to be for experienced nurses. Like this post about someone in Austin that had a hard time finding a job in Austin. I wasn't so nervous about it until people just up the road from us started talking about how hard it is to find a job once you graduate.
Does anyone in houston still need to take the CPR class? Question is it BLS for healthcare providers right? If so can anyone give me a number to call to take the class.
I think i called UTHSC-Houston and the guy said they didnt offer it anymore.. I called MD Anderson and got a machine so I left a message!
Yes, it is the BLS for health care providers. You can go this American Heart Association webpage and search by zipcode to find classes in your area.

Thanks for all the Congrats!!
I'm pretty excited to get started!
And thanks Pixiedrink for the apartment information! That definitely helps!
I'm hoping to find a place near the school for around $500...an efficiency would do just fine....hopefully thats possible.
So, about the hospital reimbursement, Does anyone know how that works? Do you have to be employed by them during nursing school or can you sign on with a hospital after the program and they reimburse a certain amount of your tuition after 2 years?? I'm really trying to find anything that will help right now (as i'm sure we all are) since it looks like I will be living on student loans! (kinda scary)
Anyway, I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!!!
