This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Good luck to everyone!!
added my pre-req gpa.

They won't start sending out accept/reject letters until after UTLink changes. So once someone here reports that their UTLink changed, it'll take up to 2 weeks for them to finish updating all the UTLinks of everyone else who has been admitted. After that, they'll send out the rejection letters. Then 2-3 weeks after that, you'll get your admit letter. I can't remember if it comes in regular skinny envelopes or the 8.5x11 envelopes, but it'll be a thickish package- there will be multiples pieces of paper enclosed.

There's no doubt it's a sweet deal. It saves us money, gives us extra time to study, and keeps me from being angry every day from getting stuck in good ole' Houston Rush (happy) hour. Avoiding driving in rush hour is worth it's weight in gold... however much that is.
