UTA Spring 2015

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

So I decided to change my plans from ADN to BSN and I didnt realize I am almost done in my prerequisites in UTA nursing.

I have everything done this Summer except intro to nursing and technical writing which I plan to take during Fall 2014 semester.

I will go to UTA campus for the first time and see an advisor to talk about everything I needed to know and do.

Is it possible for me to get a January spot because by December I am all finished in all nursing pre requisites? My science gpa is 3.75 but I dont know my overall yet till I see and advisor. No considerations and not patnered either.

I want to apply to the campus BSN program.

Sorry, I don't know much about the whole partnered thing.

I know the 2015 spring start application is due June 1.

Hello, Everyone!

I am applying for the January 2015 start date as well. I sat for the HESI A2 last week and all of my transcripts are in. At this time I am awaiting readmission to UTA and subsequent deliverance of my materials to the nursing program. Does anyone know how long that would take?

I am also interested in learning about clinical experiences at partnership hospitals and applicants' decisions in choosing specific hospitals if not already partnered.

Personally, I would like to work with underserved communities. So, I think Parkland would be my best option. I would love to read feedback from other applicant.

I applied to begin Spring 2015 too; I hope that I am admitted into the program. I took the HESI A2 on Monday, uploaded my scores, and submitted my application. The submission confirmation e-mail that I received, states that students will be notified in late October.

Hello all. I'm just getting started with classes for the AP BSN program at UTA. I have a previous BS in Computer Engineering and an MBA. I'm trying to be prepared to apply in Jan for the Fall 2015 start but have quite a few prereqs to take first. I don't work for a partner hospital and I saw someone mentioned considerations. I know about the previous bachelors, 12 natural science hrsat UTA and 30 prereq hrs at UTA. Are there others? I'm a little nervous about applying without working at a partner hospital...wondering how many really get in without it.

With a BS in Computer Engineering and a MBA, why you want to be a nurse?

Hi, I have been stalking this thread for awhile! I'm new here and have submitted my application for both AP and on-campus 2015 programs. I'm currently enrolled in INTRO TO FS-NURSING and ENGL TECH for summer. I will continue taking PHARM and PATHO in the fall.

Sciences: 3.75

Overall: 3.7

HESI: passed

Partnered: HCA

Considerations: 2

Hi! I'm partnered with HCA as well :) I used to work for Denton but just transferred to Plaza. Our stats are about the same except I don't have any considerations other than being partnered. I'm taking into to nursing and medical terminology right now and I will also be taking Patho and Pharm on the Fall. I'm glad to find a fellow HCA employee here on the site.

Good luck to you!

You don't have to be '"partnered" to get into RN-BSN at UTA. I live out of state and I am in the program.

Specializes in Internal Medicine.

I am applying to the RN to BSN and wanted to know how do you like the program, so far?

@GoldenPen

That is correct; you don't have to be partnered to get into the RN to BSN program, but in the General or AP BSN Program admission is based on whether or not you are partnered.

Does anyone know when acceptance emails will be sent out for spring nursing program?

Sometime in October?

Hello fellow spring 2015 UTA AP BSN hopefuls! Everyday that we get closer to October I seem to have more anxiety! I got an interesting call today from UTA CON asking for clarification on something on my application. The lady said that are getting ready to do their final stack rankings. That was all the info I got - I wanted desperately to grill the lady for more info but remained professional and held my composure - ha! I am trying not to read too much into it but I am hoping that because they needed more info maybe it at least means I haven't been completely rejected yet. At least that is what I am going to keep telling myself until I hear otherwise. Also, I looked back at the discussion board for the Spring 2014 hopefuls and saw postings of acceptance as early as Oct 3 last year. That is just a couple more weeks from now!

I am wondering if any of you are as anxious as I am to find out?

I know that in the past, other candidates listed their stats so here are mine -

Sciences GPA - 4.0

Overall GPA - 3.2

30 hours at UTA

Not partnered

No previous degree
