So I decided to change my plans from ADN to BSN and I didnt realize I am almost done in my prerequisites in UTA nursing.
I have everything done this Summer except intro to nursing and technical writing which I plan to take during Fall 2014 semester.
I will go to UTA campus for the first time and see an advisor to talk about everything I needed to know and do.
Is it possible for me to get a January spot because by December I am all finished in all nursing pre requisites? My science gpa is 3.75 but I dont know my overall yet till I see and advisor. No considerations and not patnered either.
I want to apply to the campus BSN program.

The deadline for Spring 2015 application is June 1st. Have you already taken patho and pharm?

I was not accepted for the fall. I didn't have any considerations, save for the bachelor's I already have in sociology. I just finished up pharm and patho, so maybe that will help to bump me up, gpa-wise and by giving me more hours at uta.
I didn't get in for the fall either. I'm taking patho and pharm over the summer online. Were they hard or not too bad?
well I already knew the material from lvn school. I saw someone wrote that patho was pretty close to the ap2 material. they were both pretty easy to me, I got an A in both. good luck! don't bother buying the books, use a rental such as Chegg or bn.com I hardly cracked either book.

Hello all. I'm just getting started with classes for the AP BSN program at UTA. I have a previous BS in Computer Engineering and an MBA. I'm trying to be prepared to apply in Jan for the Fall 2015 start but have quite a few prereqs to take first. I don't work for a partner hospital and I saw someone mentioned considerations. I know about the previous bachelors, 12 natural science hrsat UTA and 30 prereq hrs at UTA. Are there others? I'm a little nervous about applying without working at a partner hospital...wondering how many really get in without it.
And 9 honors credits. I think that's all of the considerations.

The honors credits only count for the on-campus BSN.
I was accepted for the fall 2014 start date and am not partnered. There are others that I know of as well for that start date. Looking at all of the history though for the past several start dates, if you're not partnered, you'll need really high GPAs and at least 1 consideration, but 2 would probably get you way better chances. I got in with 4.0 sci, 3.6 overall and 2 considerations. I know of another person with almost the exact same stats as me who also got in. Good luck!
Thanks, Sfolsom. It's great to hear that someone was recently admitted without being partnered. I will have at the very least 2 considerations and will be trying my best to keep a 4.0 natural science GPA. Congratulations on being admitted and best of luck in the program :)

Hello guys!!
So this might be kind of a long post but after reading all about the UTA AP BSN program I am feeling pretty bummed. I was contacted by an advisor or a recruiter and she gave me all the info about the program but left out a lot of the stuff I am reading on this website and that scares me.
I currently work for an HCA urgent care facility that is associated with Medical City Dallas Hospital, will that make me able to be partnered to medical city dallas?
I have all the pre-reqs except technical writing and the 3 nursing ones but I am taking technical writing online next month at a community college and I plan on starting the 3 nursing ones online coming up the next month as well. When I spoke on the phone the lady told me that I had to get my application in to UTA by May 20th (which I did yesterday) and then have the nursing pre-reqs and the HESI taken by November 2014 in order to start Aug 2015. Was anyone else given this time frame?
Also I want to know how competitive the process is, they told me that since I work for HCA I am only competing with other HCA employees? (that's if urgent care counts?)
I'm sorry if this post is unorganized or doesn't make much sense, I was just super stoked about what I had been told over the phone and now I am feeling as if it too good to be true..
Thanks for your time and answers!!! :)
I just filled out the spring 2015 application and these were the partnered hospitals listed:
Baylor
Houston Corporation of America (HCA) Plano and Plaza
Houston HCA Clearwater/Webster and Methodist Willowbrook
Methodist Mansfield
John Peter Smith/Cooks Children
Parkland/Dallas Children's
Rockwall Medical Hospital
