  1. The partnership does help your chances of getting into the program but your GPA & HESI scores still needs to be competitive. Each hospital system is only allowed a certain number of seats, mine only has 10 per cycle, and the ranking system still applies even if you are partnered.
  2. I am partnered as well and got accepted to the APBSN Spring 2015 program. As far as I know, the APBSN is not limited to students who are partnered with a hospital system. In fact, I know a couple of people who got in without the partnership but you have to have a really strong GPA and HESI scores along with considerations. When I was filling out my acceptance form, there is a ranking system for the students who aren't partnered to choose which clinical site they prefer. Hope this helps :)
  3. I'm currently a Pharmacy Tech but I'll be looking for a PCT job once the first semester is over just so I can have more hands on experience :)
  4. I just saw your message today but I can't reply because I'm a new member. Spoke to HR and they told me to email a request for the employment letter. I work for Plaza, what hospital do you work for?
  5. I got accepted for the APBSN Program :) I'm partnered with HCA through Plaza Medical Center. Congrats to those who got in and don't lose hope tho those who got wait listed. Anyone here who's also partnered with HCA?
  6. Hello! I applied for the APBSN Spring 2015 entry as well and this is my first application. I completed most of the prerequisites at TCC except for the 4 classes that needs to be taken at UTA. I took Medical Terminology & Intro to Nursing during the Summer and I'm currently enrolled in Patho & Pharm. I do have a pretty competitive GPA in overall & the science portion but my HESI score could use some improvement since I scored an 88. I don't have any considerations but I am partnered through HCA. Like you, I'm starting to get nervous about the acceptance letter but I'm trying not to think about it too much. I wish you both the best of luck! I will make sure to post once I get my letter :)
  7. VP1027 Hi! I'm partnered with HCA as well :) I used to work for Denton but just transferred to Plaza. Our stats are about the same except I don't have any considerations other than being partnered. I'm taking into to nursing and medical terminology right now and I will also be taking Patho and Pharm on the Fall. I'm glad to find a fellow HCA employee here on the site. Good luck to you!
