UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated Program

Hello All,

I am currently in the process of trying to get into the UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated program. I am not sure if there is a thread already started. But if there is not one I would like to start one. Hopefully we can use this thread and keep up with one another. Who else is hoping to get into UT Houston's Summer 2010 Accelerated program?

Hello - This is my first time posting..so be nice! :) I just got my letter in the mail today and my interview is February 11th. I am soo excited. I did not think I would even get an interview because I am still working on my bachelors degree. (I graduate in May). If any one has any tips to doing good, that would be appreciated!

Hello all, I received my invitation letter today. It is scheduled on 02/11! I'm super excited and nervous!! So how was the interview process??? It's make or break time!

Hi everyone!

I just received my interview letter in the mail today! I interview Feb 10. Anyone who has already interviewed, please tell me what it was like. Is there a computer test? If so, what's on it? Thanks!:)

LoveTexas, you and Lonnie made waiting to be interviewed a much less stressful process! I wish everyone all the luck in the world. I can't believe you were next to last!

Please don't worry too much about the interview. It's not as bad as you think. The interviewer I had was very, very nice. She was actually one of the pioneers of the new pacesetter program available to the fall applicants. I was actually so impressed with the program that she almost convinced me to apply for the fall instead!

Ladykee, I think i had the same lady as you. Pacesetters does sound really interesting! Man is it March yet

I interviewed Jan. 12! This wait is sooooo hard! It sounds like everyone had a good interviewer. Mine was a brick wall! She was completely devoid of any emotion. She made me super nervous but I think I did well. Good luck to everyone! Its really nice to have a support system here!

I interviewed January 20th. I think we must have had the same interviewer. I agree with the others - I think the Pacesetters program does sound interesting. I wonder if they are looking for 50 people out of the summer 2010 applicant pool to fill the Pacesetters program even though it starts in Fall 2010.

I probably has the same bad interviewer, I tried to make a small joke towards the end to break the ice and she just looked at me in silence for 30 seconds and then went to the next question.

My stats are below. Is anyone else interviewing on the 12th?

Nursing pre-reqs- 3.58

Science - 3.70

Net Math - 100

Net Reading - 79

I'm not sure I feel like I said everything I needed too and she did seem impressed that I had done microbiology research during college, but I normally judge these types of things by the interviewer's body language and that makes me uneasy :). I wonder how much the interviews are weighted compared to our GPA/NET scores.
