UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

I checked mine this morning and it still hasn't changed. :/ It's making me nervous! I feel like I got the email by mistake or somehting.

Just keep checking... I'd say if it doesn't change by the end of the day to shoot her an email to make sure :) i would've done the same if my status didn't change today

the one listed at the bottom of the acceptance email is who i would send it too.

bri630- i received the acceptance email also, but last time i checked my status hasn't changed yet

No but I wanted to email her to ask if we didnt get an email yesterday or a change on UTLInk does that mean the buck stops here? Or do they still have a lot to update today? If I knew that I would feel better. I am a little confused though. I have been going back and re reading peoples stats to compare them to mine and my GPA is higher than some and I have 9yrs med experience and I nailed my interview....maybe it because I had a 76 on the reading and 97 math and some of you got B's in reading? Who knows what they want? I am sure not everyone who got invited will accept so more slots will open again so I am not giving up just yet :) I have to admit I had a good cry yesterday seeing all of you so happy....I felt jealous because I have worked so hard but then I went shopping and got a pedi and now I dont feel that way. Things will work out just as they were meant to

I did. I applied to UTMB. I wouldve applied to TWU as well but like I said they wanted your Science DONE and no other program wanted that so rather than me readjusting all my classes for TWU I decided to not even bother. I also dont like that summers are off. I am 27 and anxious to have children soon and 1 1/2 years sounds better than 2 for me personally. I would like to be a mom by 30 if its possible so that also had a big influence on me not going the TWU route. I applied to UTMB but they havent even mailed out interview letters yet if you can imagine that? I might need to be medicated after all this or go have a stiff drink...LOL. I am happy for all of you and I mean that

The email they provided is the same one from the website. I emailed them this morning and got a reply.

hey guys, i emailed ms. y**** and asked her about receiving an email but not having an updated status yet. about ten minutes later she CALLED me and said yes, you were accepted, it's nothing to be worried about it just takes time and they should all be updated by monday. i didn't even put my phone number in the email, which means she had to go look it up. i thought it was extremely nice of her to call instead of just email me back. things like that make me want to go to ut over twu, anytime I email them it takes at least a week for someone to get back to me, and calling never does any good.

Specializes in none as of yet, hoping for ped oncology!.

For those who are still worrying and haven't heard anything, I have a very good friend who's stats are almost identical to mine who has not yet heard a yes or no, and she called UT and was told that they are a little behind and still have many acceptance/rejection letters to send out. She was told not to worry unless she had heard NOTHING (acceptance or rejection) by the 15th.

do you think they send out the admission letters right away, or will they hold all of the letters until they are through with accepting everyone?
