hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
ali, you're the one that is a student at A&M too, right?are you planning to drive down tonight to houston (oh right i'm not sure if you live in houston or not...i'm just assuming) or tomorrow morning?
yes i'm the one at A&M also. i was planning on heading down tomorrow morning, but I have a friend that lives in the houston area so i may go down tonight and stay with them. when are you heading down?
Is anyone else having trouble with the one-page limit on the resume? How big of a deal do you think it would be if it were longer?
i was having problems with that so i went to the career center on campus and had an advisor help me with it. i know many people don't have access to something like that but i tried my hardest to make it one page just because they said so. on a side note...would it be inappropriate to wear a sleeveless blouse? it's not a tank top or low cut or anything, just no sleeves. i wish they would have specified what the dress code is in the letter...i've been thinking along the lines of business casual

Things like that are usually tests to see if you can follow directions. You'd be better off only leaving big things that apply to nursing and using the interview to mention everything else.
My physics teacher in high school said he'd never hire anyone who didn't fill in every blank and follow the directions. In this case, I think it'd be best if you kept to the 1 page.

Good luck to those of you who are lucky enough to interview tomorrow.
