hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
OK I just saw another thread called "UT Interview Houston...please help" and people have been getting interviews since the beginning of June for the Spring 2010. How can they determine who gets an interview if the application dealine isnt until Sep 1st? I am so shocked. Does this mean the later applicants are at a disadvantage? Are these waitlisted people from the Fall 09 who didnt get in? I am afraid they are filling slots already and am freaking out. Any opinions or answers?
How many people are claiming to have gotten an interview? Because at the information session they specifically said they wouldn't be reviewing any applications until after the deadline and that interviews would be scheduled starting the second week in September through the end of October.
Maybe they are applying to the RN to BSN program or something...
Go check out that thread that I listed before and tell me what you think. I interpret it as Spring 2010. They are all interviewing after the Summer session (Acc Program) would have started so they have to be interviewing for Spring right? I posted a message asking them to clarify because I am a little bit irritated by what I read if it is in fact true. You can see what I wrote. If that is true I will be calling up there to ask how that's fair when they dont have applications yet from everyone. I just dont want to be under the impression that I am competitive if its not and they are shoe-in's from a previous semester.
CJ Barnes- Is there a waiting period required in between your NET tests. I took it last week and am taking it again tomorrow and I just wanted to make sure UT isnt going to not accept it. I saw some schools require 60 day wait. Thanks
They told us that they will take the MOST RECENT score, no matter how many times you have taken it. If you scored in the 80s (with at least a 70 in reading) and you have a good GPA you will most likely get an interview.

I read through the thread, but frankly, I am skeptical. There is no specific information, they did not respond to your questions, and we were told more than once in the information session that they would not even review applicants until after the deadline. There is no unfair advantage to turning your paperwork in early. I asked that question specifically because I was worried, since I spent the summer semester completing required pre-reqs to have the 40 hour requirement met.
I will email UT and see, but I am thinking either those people are applying to another program (perhaps RN to BSN?) or the thread is a load of crap. Notice that no one on this thread is claiming to have an interview, and I know several people here submitted their applications and transcripts some time ago.

Kimmy- I called ERI...UT got our scores today but we dont get them for another week which is total BS in my opinion. We should be able to log on to ERI and check our scores. Snail Mail is a little archaic these days.
Hung-I will be testing tomorrow at 8 am at the SE location. Did you ever get scheduled?
