hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
Darla-
I am under the impression that your nursing pre-req and your science GPA is what matters most. If you go back and read those threads from Fall 2009 many people didnt have these sky high GPA's but their science and nursing GPA's were really high. If you did well on the NET you will get an interview I am sure. That thread the most helpful thing I have read so far so def. check it out

Oh trust me Emag I was soo bummed out it ruined my whole weekend. Thanks for that info about pearson view, gave me another chance :)
No problem Hung!!! Good Luck next time
Emag, for the reading com, what threw me off was the practice test had like 20 question in 33 minutes, but the actual test was something like 30 in 33 min so my timing was way off. Anywho, what sort of suggestion do you have for approaching the reading comp section this second time around?

Thank you for your help. I have not received my NET scores, but I am guessing they are good. Now I have to wait and see. ugh.
It was a difference of 13 questions compared to what I was used to doing in 30 minutes. Thats a big difference. I am going to start timing myself to train myself to read at that rate. Its 33 question for 30 minutes so thats really fast. Some other people replied to me asking for suggestions so I will use their advice as well.
Darla- Waiting sucks!!! Hey, at least you didnt leave there in tears and you are confidant with your score. I was slowly reading and the buzzer went off and I started crying. I totally got it just ran out of time. I am sure nerves didnt help. I am sure the next time will be MUCH better. Do the writing expression and Science questions count for UT?

Im not sure about the writing expression or science, I can tell you I guessed on all the science questions lol. And yeah I didn't do like 8 questions on the reading comprehension. I went back and just bubbled random answers towards the end when I was taking those surveys.

My problem is that my pre req gpa is fine, science is fine, but my Overall GPA is not even close to a 4.0. I have higher than the minimum to be considered for the overall GPA. However, after meeting the minimum does the school then focus on the pre-req and science GPA?
Thanks!
