Have you taken the NET exam?

You already had a interview(01/19/10)? For Fall 2010? The application deadline just passed and I was unaware they already scheduled interviews.

Just a quick question.. Does anyone know how they'll be notifying us for interviews? Is it by phone, e-mail, or snail mail?

@saphiratx i think your interview is for the ut houston summer accelerated program 2010 right? are you generic fall 2010 applicant?

in the ut houston summer accelerated program 2010 topic some people are also getting interview at the same date at yours. gl btw

@natatat i think it is by "snail mail" as in regular mail sent by the post office

@michelle2841 what was your math and reading comprehension grades?

Maybe Saphira was waitlisted for the Spring and reapplyed for Fall? I heard that people who were waitlisted for Fall 09 were interviewed very early for Spring 10 (I'm guessing to get them out of the way).

I'm anxious too. I've attended 4 community colleges over 4 years in 3 different cities (I count Lonestar and HCC as being generally in the same area) and for a year in the middle I thought I wanted to go into engineering, so it really looks like I have no idea what I want to do with my life. That certainly can't help my chances. I'm not very patient, can you tell? :D

I'm always thinking like that too. I get paranoid that they're going to see a few low scores and just toss my application without looking at my statement on my application (I had low scores because my mom became very ill and I wasn't able to focus on school. No one told me that I could've APPEALED my grades because of what was going on. I only found out recently when I was venting to a friend about how scared I was to not be accepted anywhere and she was all, "Why didn't you appeal? They would've let you because you had family emergencies and a very stressful time, they would've fixed your grades and stuff." GEE THANKS.)

But my point --- you can't think like that!!! Just try to stay positive!! I only applied to three programs and I'm scared I won't get in anywhere or even interviews!!

To keep yourself busy, prepare yourself for rejection. Look up what you might need if you need to apply for the following semester, and look up other schools too. (I'm looking up information on a few more schools in case I don't get accepted to the three I applied to.) If it's what you really want just keep trying and try not to think "I'm not gonna get in". Be cocky. Keep telling yourself you'll get in, no problem. You have to stay positive or you'll go crazy!!! :)

For those who still have prereg in-progress, in your UT-Link do you have "Not Received" beside "Academic Transcripts"?

I'm just wondering...I'm getting paranoid as well :/

Yes, it will say in prog next to the transcript that has in progress classes and it will say not received under academic transcripts if you still have classes to take.

Yeah mine says all that too, its because I still have in-progress classes. Well, just one, but still.

Has anyone received their selection interview "invitation" yet?

I got mine today!! :) So those of you who haven't heard anything yet, keep an eye on your mailboxes!!

i got an interview letter today from ut-houston. i applied for the fall 2010 program and have not applied previously.

1) nursing prereq. gpa: 3.72

2) nursing science gpa: 3.75

3) undergraduate gpa: 3.05

4) where you took the majority of your prereqs.: san jacinto college

5) net composite: 80%

6) net math: 83

7) net reading: 76

8) age: 25

9) medical experiences: emt certified from 2006-present

10) first and second nursing school choices: ut, utmb

11) unfinished prereg. classes needed to take: statistics

12) withdrawals or repeats (prereg.): 9

13) interview date: feb 9th

14) other info: withdrawals and bad grades are over 5 years old (what brought my overall gpa down). associates degree in biology 2008

I got my interview letter today!!!!WOOOHOOO! I am so excited. Interview is Feb. 8th!!!Good Luck everyone!!!Check your mail!!! FYI I still have in progress transcripts.
