Anyone here applied already?
Have you taken the NET exam?
Yeah, I need to update my resume and I'm not sure how to make it stand out, you know? I haven't worked in awhile because I was focusing on school and I haven't had a lot of jobs as it is so my resume just looks kind of blah.
I was wondering that, too, if we should put some high school achievements on there? I was Editor of my Newspaper and in a lot of clubs in high school but I didn't do anything recognizable in college!!
Oh, and I took all my prereqs at HCC.
Hi, everyone. I am new to this blog and happened to stumble across this yesterday. I have applied to UT for the Fall 2010 BSN program and I am very anxious to get an interview. I received an invite for the interview but I am not sure what to expect. Has anyone had an interview for the fall 2010 program yet? I read online there is a writing sample required. Does anyone know what to expect on the writing sample?

The writing sample for the Spring 2010 interview was, "Explain the nurse's role during a organ transplantation."
I became worried that UT did not have my newest NET exam score. I had to take it twice because i tanked the first one (strep throat). After calling, I came to find out that-NO, they did not have my new score. I took the test on Jan 9. I then called the company that gave the exam and they told me that-Yes, it was sent. They gave me the tracking number, date, time and who signed for it. They are also going a step further and resending my test scores overnight through fed-ex. The man I spoke to also told me that I am not the only one who has called about UT not having the test scores.
I am glad I was insistant and pushed for an answer. Unfortunatly this was not the only problem. Whomever the data entry person was had already messed up my Name. I had to call twice to get it fixed. I dont mean it was just a wrong letter, it was my maiden name, and I have not used that in 8 years. I applied with my married name, the only thing that even had my maiden name on it was one of my old transcripts.
Soooooo....Now, I hope everything is on the up and up and my fingers, and toes are crossed that I will receive an interview letter soon.
Overall gpa 3.67
Science GPA 3.75
Net Composite 86
Good luck to everyone!!!!
