As a student myself, I feel your pain, but allnurses.com is not the place to complete your homework assignments. The purpose is to get you out into the community interacting with nurses. I don't know how far along in your education you are, but you will find that doing anything at the last minute will not be conducive to success...and allnurses.com is not your one-stop-shop for hit and run interviews. Good luck with your future endeavors.

To all nurses here, I have few questions to ask. Research project is due Friday. That's November 18, 2011.
Please help me... I badly needed your responses. Please...

If this project was so important, then you should have done it earlier. Thus, my response is: do your work the way you are supposed to in a timely fashion. Nurses need to learn good time management or they (and their patients) suffer the consequences. The consequence this time may be that you fail a paper and have to re-submit it. Better than not learning time management and prioritisation and having much more dire consequences/

Question #1: Do you research about new nursing interventions and remedies? I tend to research new medications, new procedures, and anything else that sparks my interest or has direct application to my field.

Q#2: If yes, what kind of procedures? If no, why and what are the hindrances why you don't read articles? I ahve read up on the STAR procedure, various gastrointestinal resections, and the Whipple procedure.

Q#3: Do you apply what you have learned to the hospital setting? Of course.

Q#4: Do you share what you have read to your co-nurses? Do you inform and educate your clients regarding the procedures for continuity of care? Yes. I do my best to share things I learn with co-workers and always do my best to keep my patients in the know.

Haha...you should be safe. I'm a 20 year old nursing student and I was the first one to say something. I'll protect you! There's absolutely no way anyone can accuse me of young-eating! :)

I'm just wondering why you joined. I agree w/ the other nurses that you should be doing your own homework and not trusting total stangers on a message board. What the hay, I'm in a good mood tonight.

I read artcles that pertain to my specialty.

I don't work in a hospital.

Yes. We all share w/ each other. Some things we'll try, others we don't. Some things are cost prohibitive.

Staff note:

While it definitely is important for students to do their own homework, questions like these do require input from others. You can't just Google individual responses.

As to the other complaint--that she should have started working on this earlier--we don't know when she received the assignment or how many credits she is juggling. I remember getting more than one assignment that I thought should have had a lengthier time than was given, especially in light of all the other things we were expected to be working on at the same time.

If you don't want to answer the questions, don't. But, please, don't scold someone for asking interview-type questions here when we are such a good resource for access to multiple opinions.

Note to students: The caution still applies that you should not come here expecting others to complete your assignments. We can certainly help, but we already did our homework and don't want to short-circuit your learning process by doing your work for you. Interview kinds of inquiries are just a different kind of animal.
