Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

now you re just being negative...7.6 is competitive...talk to your adviser and see what she thinks if you wanna go on campus..she knows better than me.....last year I had a classmate who got accepted after being wait-listed with 7.2.......Adviser will tell you best about your chances...I am a bit pessimistic by nature that s why I look at things differently but I might be wrong.... My adviser did tell me that my score was HIGH considering the records during last year I have a good chance. She didn't say I m IN for sure....she simply said - realistically - depends on the candidates for this semester.
That s why I made an post somewhere online that is only fare to us that they post a list every semester with the accepted people and their scoring, so we know what to expect and so they dont put in somebody partnered with score 6 over somebody not partnered with score 7, because theoretically they can do that!

I’m sorry wasn’t trying to be. I’m just saying that I think I will have a better chance with the on campus program.

If you want to switch for Fall its too late, you cannot do it.

I am partnered with Houston Methodist. I think HCA is the other partnered hospital but a lot of nurses who have worked with HCA really dislike them. Houston Methodist does not have any trauma hospitals so if you're interested in that field I would recommend Memorial Hermann or Ben Taub. Texas Children's is also a great hospital system to work at.

Awesome, thank you so much! I’ve been applying for jobs at Memorial Herman and Texas Children’s so hopefully one works out!
