Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

Criminal Background Check
Students who have not enrolled or completed NURS 2300 at UTA application deadline will be given BON CBC information at the application time and must schedule the CBC within one month of application.
The same information was given on the application itself to the upper division.
So I did just that. I had my fingerprints scanned within 2 weeks that I submited my application. Lets see what happens. I sent a response to the email asking if the information on the checklist and on the application is wrong. I hope not.
I think although I am not sure that you need to have it in the week timeframe after you get accepted.

Also, from my understanding, the ONLY thing they’re more relaxed on is the second Hep A shot. Everything else has to be done and submitted by specified date

Yes in Intro to NURS they told us how to do the BON background, as far as GroupOne, I personally emailed them to ask how to do a background for a nursing program, and they said the school will give me the application or instruction

I’m pretty sure that if you get accepted into the program, you only need to provide the blue card for the time being As well as all the immunization stuff

IDK how relaxed they are...several ppl in the UTA Health Center who also graduated UTA told the that many students miss who were acceptedwill notstart the program because missed the deadline for that vaccine. The admin ppl who deal specifically with immunizations told me NO....you cant start, and the accelerated path that you can get in a private office for $600 and it takes 2 months is NOT accepted. Later Dr.Flores - head of student affairs in nursing, told this was wrong info, and I could have done the fast track immunization and present it as long as it was in time frame, which was the end of month after receiving the acceptance letters. I l assume they might ve become more lenient on that Hep A vaccine, or simply some of the staff in the department are just as incompetent as before. I d say reach out to Dr. Flores

correct, they give you certain time and instructions to do the GroupOne background which I was told has too do mostly with the hospitals you will be doing your clinicals, also read that if the hospitals in a certain area doesnt like something n your background, UTA will try to find place for clinicals in different region - IDK how true is that, but sounds horrible, if you live in DFW or Clear
Lake -Houston and having to go Lubbock, or College station

Is the Hep B shot the school offers accepted?
The shock and the titer are two different things. If you have gotten all three of the hepatitis B shots, then I would go to your doctor as soon as possible, more like tomorrow and get the blood drawn for the titer. You need to have those results within a week if you get an acceptance letter. You need to have those results within a week if you get an acceptance letter.
