University of Miami accelerated BSN 2012

Published

Anyone applying to the University of Miami ABSN program for next summer 2012?

any suggestions for apartments that are inexpensive but close to campus? ive been looking at the um website but not that many listings yet

Everything that I've seen that's close to campus is super expensive :uhoh21: but that's the area that I'd want to live in, so it looks like I'll need a roommate.

the background check cost $149 geesh...Did you all have to pay that price too because when I first logged in it was saying 129 then at the end of the form it said 149????

I just paid my $500 clinical deposit to SONHS but I'm trying to put off the background check for a week. I heard it was $135.

I also paid $149 when I had read it was $135..oh well...as long as it gets me to nursing school I don't care

I was looking at shoes online and I was wondering if any of you have started to look into that...what shoes do you think we should get? I personally prefer the Keds look but I don't know how comfortable those will be after 12 hours..AND those clog looking shoes are not very appealing..any suggestions?

No outstanding prereqs for me. However, I did apply for Summer 2011 but I was deferred. I'm thinking it was because I had too many ongoing classes

Thanks for the response. How long did it take for you to hear back once everything needed for your application was received?

It was hard to tell since I was deferred but I remember they said that they don't even look at the Spring class applications till August when classes started.

I am attending the Spring Semester and I am currently finishing up 3 of my outstanding pre-reqs. It took me about 3 weeks to get accepted after I had turned in all my paperwork.
