  1. THANKS for posting this. We have similar scores for Q trainers so I felt much better after reading your post.. I was getting so wrapped up in my scores, as my test is set for Tuesday. I was starting to "Freak out" because I felt that I was starting to do awful. Any advice for the day of the test? I have such bad testing anxiety. I've done so many questions from Kaplan but I feel like I should be doing more, but this last week I was getting that burnt out feeling. The day before the exam I don't think I will be looking at a thing. Just making sure to know my values. Some of the questions can be so tricky. and it is hard to not second guess yourself. Wish me luck! I hope to get 75 questions and call it a day!
  2. When is the 500 due by? I received the letter yesterday but do not live at home where my mail is mailed to..
  3. Of course! I really didn't think I was going to get in lol so if all else fails... I also had applied to Rush in Chicago, great school. Its a masters and you wouldn't have to take the Gre since your gpa is above the requirements. They offered me an interview but decided not to go. you just have to apply everywhere! :)
  4. My gpa is about the same. 3.4 overall and 3.7 for pre reqs. And I have little to none experience in health field but I did shadow and did work in a pharmacy for a brief time. I also just graduated in December
  5. I felt the same with UM. I literally applied 3weeks ago and they got back to me in 2 weeks. I also applied to USF. If I didn't apply to Um that school was my first choice because as a public school their program is awesome! I've heard nothing but wonderful things. Good luck! It will work out. Stay positive
  6. And what do your grades look like?
  7. Honestly, I spent my 4 years at Fau as a bio major and could not see myself at that school for another year. I also took into consideration the clinical experience UM has to offer. I know it's on the pricey side but I really wanted to have clinicalExperience in a well known hospital since shadowing doctors previously have told me that Jackson Memorial has a lot to see as well as everything under the sun comes in. Not to mention UM has always been my dream school. I have had people from Fau's Nursing program tell me that they did not feel prepared when they entered the field and I just did not want to take that risk. Miami really focuses and emphasizes on clinical experience and it's a highly ranked program in Florida. Where else did you apply?
  8. I was accepted. I declined because I was accepted into UM's accelerated program. They just receive tons of applications. Good luck to you and don't give up
  9. I am looking for a roommate! Anyone interested, Please let me know. :) I'll be down next Monday since I live in Delray to look at a few places. I wouldnt mind commuting either if it means keeping the cost of rent down. Let me know! :)
  10. I live Delray, but I have no plans on commuting. I found someone to live with and will be getting an apt. I can't stand traffic nor driving everyday if I don't have to.
  11. Hi! Congrats! I live about an hour north from Miami. I would join the group on Facebook "UM accelerated BSN Summer 2012". I have been checking out places but have not driven down to see them personally. -chesca
  12. I was accepted!!! I can't wait to meet all of you!!
  13. Well I just found out I was accepted to start in May as well! So I am super stoked! Now I just need to figure out loans and where I am going to live. But I just recently graduated from FAU in December with a degree in Biology so I cannot wait to start and meet everyone :)
  14. Congrats you two! I recently applied. i was wondering how long it took for them to get back to you to let you know that you were accepted. Also, what are your grades, previous bachelors and gpa? I am curious to see what they accept and if I am up to their standards. Thank you!
  15. Hi all! I am applying for the Fall 2012, I have a friend that attends there now but has not given me enough info so I am referring to this website for some answers. Currently hold a 3.44 in Biology and graduate December 9th! Also, all my pre reqs are done! I am gathering my recommendation letters and already began the application. How much is the personal statement weighed and how was the interview? any tips/advice would be much appreciated. This program looks awesome but would like to find out more because the website isn't too informative. You end up with a MSN but after do you pick a track? Thanks for any help!
