  1. I applied right before the december 1st deadline...
  2. I haven't received a letter yet but I just checked My UM online and it was updated that I've been accepted for the May 2012 start! It says the acceptance packet is in the mail. Exciting!
  3. Can people that were accepted into the May ABSN program post there GPA's and and how many courses they had outstanding when they were accepted to UM?
  4. Thanks for the response. How long did it take for you to hear back once everything needed for your application was received?
  5. Those of you who got in for the spring, did any of you have outstanding prereqs? If so how many? Im applying for may!
  6. babyspike, it is my understanding that you need a minimum of 1 year ICU experience for any CRNA program. Are there programs that you can apply to before you graduate with your BSN?
  7. jennyjenbsn, I did some basic research and you are definitely not correct about being able to go on to do CRNA or any other masters program. It would keep you out of a regionally accredited program but there are MANY programs that are not regionally accredited. So I am going to have to say that discredits everything you say.
  8. Very interesting and good info... Did these people that went straight into the ICU, plan on getting their master to be a CRNA?
  9. babyspike, I am impressed that 10 students got job offers directly into an ICU. That is what I want to do so I can get 1-2 years of experience and go on to get my masters. What was it that made those students get hired into an ICU? Their grades? Relationships developed from clinicals? Or something else...?
  10. qwew I'm just curious, what do you think is holding you back from getting a job? Your blaming the school? If you have a 3.65 and passed your nclex, sooner or later you would get a job if you tried, no?
  11. Now that there have been a couple classes that have graduated from RCON's ABSN, I was just curious as to how easy it was for the graduates to find jobs. Did most students have job offers before they left the school? What feedback can graduates give about how employers feel about RCON as a school?
  12. I didnt get in either...had an undergrad gpa of 3.7 in finance and 3.7 in my prereqs...thought I would get in...frustrating...makes me think they must be partial to fsu graduates...o well
  13. I just emailed Melinda and asked how many people applied for the ABSN 2012 program. She said there were 177 applicants and they accept roughly 34....yikes!
  14. Well that is somewhat comforting. FSU is my first pick as well. I am not applying to any other programs in the spring. I don't know what I am going to do with myself if I don't get in lol. Im hoping there are fewer candidates for a spring start seeing that many applicants for accelerated programs apply in the summer as soon as they graduate college.
  15. Hey I was just reading this thread. I am applying for spring 2012 as well. I just submitted my application the other day because I was waiting until I finished summer classes. I am taking patho, chem, and nutrition in the fall. I am praying that I get in because I will have all my prereqs done after this semester and feel like I would just be wasting time to wait until summer...waiting is going to suuuuuuuck
