Anyone applying to the University of Miami ABSN program for next summer 2012?

where can i find the group? I typed it in the search engine and nothing came up

The Facebook group name is "UM Accelerated BSN Nursing Spring 2012"

I typed that into the search engine on Facebook I also googled it and nothing came up. Is there any way that you can add me or invite me? Are you sure its not set to secret?

Hi everyone! :hpygrp:

I have asked numerous blogs but no one seems to give me a straight answer. Would anyone who was accepted to the ABSN program mind sharing their GPA and work experience? I plan on applying next year and want to know where I sit as far as grades,work, etc..

I want to make it to an information session, but I live in Tallahassee which is 8 hours away.

I am starting UM this spring 2012 for the Accelerated BSN. I had zero work experience, a 3.7 cum GPA and 3.5 pre req GPA. I had no problems getting in. Hope this helps :)

Thank you!! I feel much better now. I see people with a ton of work experience and masters degrees. I'm a 21 year old about to graduate with my bachelors in biology. I work at a PT clinic but it has nothing to do with nursing, so it worried me a little, but thanks for your input!!

Dont worry, ur fine! lol. Im 21 too, fresh out of college with a liberal studies Bachelors Degree. You should get in no problem as long as u have a 3.5 or above. Good luck to u!

I was just received the list of all the required tasks (BLS, immunization records, background check) yesterday. I am a FL resident so the background check should not take as long as out-of-state submissions. But what happens if the background check isn't submitted to the school in time before the beginning of Spring 2012? Are you not able to attend classes?
