What kind of underwear do you guys wear under your scrubs? I just got into clinicals and was wondering what brand and style you guys where that stay put and don't ride up! Thanks
At work, plain old white cotton Granny Panties (skip the high cut on the legs, that's an invitation for a wedgie). The LAST thing i need to think about in surgery is a pair of underwear going where the sun don't shine, and not being able to DO anything about it!:stone
On my own time, it varies.
i don't care for thongs too much like wedges...which i hate...underwear is not something i remember to buy as often as i should...my middle name is procrastinate..so when i do i buy a lot at a time...ergo they all wear out at the same time and i am left with droopy drawers...maybe i need a keeper
Health Assessment "lab" 1998. 1 male and 17 female nursing students of all ages between 21 and 47 (me) and all sizes stripped to underwear and johnnies to practice physical exams. Lo and behold- 8 out 0f 17 students wearing Victoria Secret cotton panties! Who knew? This I had to investigate! After an acquisition trip to my local mall, I did some in-depth testing...Six years later I am a firm convert. They are near indestructable, don't "dig" at the waist or leg, and don't ride up or down. A nurse has enough to think about during the workday without that sort of distraction!
I like plain white clean cotton briefs, boxers dont do it for me, I need the support that a brief gives me.
"Clean?" That's good.
I wear Munsingwear with wire reinforced kangaroo pouch. Nothing like reaching in and slinging that baby out like a marlin over a boat rail. Who said visual imagery doesn't work? Ok, let's eat turkey!

I go with white boxers. I decided against flesh tone because I would rather people knew I was wearing underwear than think I'm not. Boxers don't seem quite as revealing as briefs, and I'm starting to like them better, anyway.
This summer, I innocently asked whether we had to wear our whites to psych clinicals. We were hastily warned not to wear our see thru pants to the mental hospital. OK. Sounds good to me. But if they knew the pants were see-thru, why did they chose them for us in the first place?
