Hello, all!
My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone, I posted in the other thread, this one is in a weird place so that could be why there may not seem like a lot of people are posting. I am a first semester at the Baltimore campus and was in your position just a couple of months ago, so I get it! Good luck to everyone, I'm definitely learning a lot. Just make sure you keep on top of all of your application materials, if something is missing online call them to make sure that it was received. I def had an issue with one of my rec letters and had to end up resending one last minute.
@astran no worries..you will hear back! As long as all materials were received, you have to get a response.
We heard back SUPER late , later than any other cohort I have seen on AN for a fall admission. I know the anxiety is bad but def no reason to think you should give up í ½í¸Œ try not to think that way because it just makes you more anxious.
My Baltimore class is almost 100 students which is def an increase!
aspiringnursedd, thanks for chiming in to this thread! It's nice to hear from current students especially because we all eventually want to end up where you are. I'm not sure if you know the answer to this, but do you think admissions may be taking a bit longer because they are increasing the amount of admittances? I remember Grey Lady confirmed that the numbers were increasing from the past years but I wonder if it affects the time applicants get notified.

That's awesome!! I work PRN at a hospital too but it's not direct patient care so I was thinking of maybe applying for another position if I end up getting accepted into the program. Man, you're already integrated into the clinical setting, I'm so envious!
