My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
@kayrock no clue lol. there are definitely more in my class than there have been in years past, and I really don't know what takes admissions as long as it takes. Either way, they don't send everything out the same day, I heard In April and there were still people getting acceptances in May. Literally all you can do is wait, which sucks but there's nothing more Lol. I lost $200 to towson because I found out about Maryland late and needed to make sure I had a spot somewhere.
@casmith like 2 weeks I think :/ and if they don't get you, they will definitely leave a generic message. I was at a client's house during work when I received the call and when I finished my visit, I just called them back. I believe it was a number from the school, 410 706 something. I say that so you all don't have to get a heart attack every time you see a 410 number lol, I'm pretty sure they use some kind of 706 number but I could be wrong. don't know about Shady Grove.
I just find it suspicious that every single year, acceptances seem to reach people just *after the Towson deadlines. I didn't apply to Towson, but just my opinion..... it seems suspicious. I've pretty much resigned myself to not getting any answers til after the 9th. How convenient for them if this pattern holds true once again.
Everyone enjoy the weekend! Monday starts a new week...Honestly I am not even EXPECTING an acceptance next week...I feel at this point it could be next week...or the following....
Finally my status is "complete and ready for review" Ah! I'm so anxious. I really hope I get in this time since I was waitlisted for the Fall last semester!

It's amazing how different I am today than Monday....I haven't even been thinking about it!
