My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for responding everyone. :) I called the admissions office just now and they stated that they are still trying to calculate the accepted students and whatever number they have after they will pull from the waitlist. Waitlisted applicants will receive an email when admissions for Spring is closed and they are no longer being "pulled". I'm assuming we will receive that email this Friday or Monday.
Aw :'(. I thought about starting my application for Fall 2016 and now that we have some sort of confirmation of no more available seats, I can work on it more whole heartedly. Thank you for checking in with them! I assume we have to submit the application fee, online application, and supplemental documents again right? At least that's what the letter said. Still not entirely clear on their instructions.
On the brighter side, there's now a thread for Fall 2016 hopefuls if anyone wants to join:

Don't lose hope yet kayrock! Because faith247 called after me. Remember when I called I didn't specify wait listed applicants. I should have though. Looks like there's still a chance since we haven't gotten that email yet! I'm looking into other programs too though since I didn't apply anywhere else. As of now I'm looking into Howard's program in DC.
Yeah, I'm probably going to apply to MC's ADN program again like I did for this past fall. Definitely a better idea to apply to more than one nursing school.
So I called the office of admissions again today and they told me the same thing that faith247 was told. Applicants from the wait list are still being considered.
We should recieve an email on Monday. I'm assuming to notify us that we were not taken off of the waitlist and asking whether or not we want our applications to roll over to Fall 2016. Stay hopeful you all. Even if it's not UMSON in the spring there are other options that are just as good and cheaper. At least we know what we want to do with our gifts even if it is taking forever to pursue them :)
Just received a confirmation email stating I was not pulled off the waitlist. I hope to see those who are reapplying for fall 2016 on the other thread!!
