My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
Wow to be honest I didn't know about all the specific requirements. But honestly I wasn't really concerned about that. The nursing program is concerned about you completing their prerequisites for their nursing program. And the transfer advisor at Towson said that a lot of the classes I took at MC are probably going to count for Towson's prerequisites. My main concern was to get in a nursing prgoram. But then again, I understand your frustration :/
Wow congrats kkendall! Hearing that you and a couple other waitlisted have gotten accepted so late in the year give me back that last ounce of hope that maybe I'll get lucky too! Congrats again and good luck, hope I get to join :-)
Congrats kkendall0621! Not to be a downer, but I have read in a past thread that if you do not hear before the holidays it is most likely that you will remain on the list. Quite disappointing . Hopefully we will have a better shot next time. Hope everyone's holiday went well, and congrats again to all those admitted!
No i did not. I was wondering when the final transcripts were due for the provisional accepted people because that may free up some spots by Jan 8th. Either way im making other plans but still trying to remain hopeful.
On the letter it just said to send all documentation before orientation. Now I'm not sure if they're talking about the SSIP orientation which varies because there are many dates on that one or the orientation on January 20 which is everyone. For me, I sent my transcript as soon as my final grades were posted.
@Faith247 Good thinking. I'm not sure if things are different this time around but before it seems like they have accepted people a couple days before orientation/start of classes (at least on the past threads I've read). But no sure way of knowing how often it happens. I inquired this past week about whether all the seats were filled yet, but they just told me they would let Wait Listed applicants know by this Friday if we get pulled off.
Hi guys, so I just called the office of admissions to ask if they're still accepting people for Spring, and the lady told me they're not. Now I didn't specify wait listed applicants so I'm not sure if that would make a difference in the answer she gave me. I'm discouraged now, but oh well..
