My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
My status just went to "committee ready" on Wednesday. I thought it was never going to change because I stayed at "complete and ready for review" for what seemed like an eternity. I know it will probably be a while before I get my decision. I don't check anymore, but I check here daily hoping one of you guys hear some good news.
That makes me feel so discouraged! If they are still changing statuses to committee ready it will probably be two or so more weeks! Ah! Fingers crossed ONE of us hears something this week!
Holy ish everyone.... I just found this online and it may have something to do with our waiting. Maybe, maybe not. But holy cow! Posting the url, everyone on here should check it out! It explains why they have increased the number of students they are accepting this year at the very least!

hi everyone....been following this thread for sometime now....so i just talked to someone from shady grove office they don't have a specific date but they will definitely start before thanksgiving.
The Conway family is awesome! I don't know much about them, but they are a part (or full?) of my sister's full-ride scholarship to Catholic University for nursing! Basically the Conways are the reason why she is in school! That's awesome they're a part of UMSON now :)
anyways, I've been stalking this thread all semester and I'm also hoping to get in for spring. Got waitlisted last semester, prayers up :)
Well hopefully this week will be a lucky one :) I hope everyone has calmed down a bit and let things just fall into place! Last week was so anxiety-filled...I would die if I acted like that this week! So fingers crossed at least one of us becomes a nursing student this week!

I'm with you casmithx95, I was so anxious last week but now I'm just expecting to hear back (at the earliest) the week before Thanksgiving or maybe even the week of Thanksgiving... maybe even after Thanksgiving if we're pushing it haha. I'm on anxiety-free sailing from now until we hear back
