My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
I also noticed that they haven't updated the Shady Grove "Accepted Students" section yet, although the class registration site is already updated to Spring 2016. I want to say either later today or tomorrow... But who knows when applicants will start to get contacted.
I was hoping to find out before my schools withdraw date, which is tomorrow lol. I only need College Algebra for UMSON, not my backup school, and it's taking up a lot of time that I need to dedicate to A&P, so if I don't get it, I wanted to drop haha. But it looks like I might not be able to:(
I agree...I am thinking it will be sometime next week. Ugh, that is disappointing....They seem to have always notified people the first week in November all of the previous semesters!!
This is making me so blah :/ I just was so set on hearing something this week and now I don't even feel as excited because I am irritated! I know I am just being crazy though
At this rate, we are definitely going to hear back later compared to previous years. Maybe, as casmithx95 mentioned earlier, it's because they're accepting more applicants this year? More applicants = more time to deliberate. Let's be optimistic though, guys! At least we're all in this frustrating waiting phase together :)

OMG I feel the same way. I'm more irritated now than excited. I haven't even logged into surfs in days now because I just know it won't be until after the 9th.
Yeah, reading past threads is really helpful but it's also frustrating because we're able to approximate when we would hear back but when we don't end up hearing back around the same time it's like :madface:

I guess the recruiter was just trying to get our hopes up yesterday
. Hopefully today we will start hearing some updates.
