  2. Would really appreciate some feedback on my resume. I am a new grad looking for my first job and would like to apply to one that I've found and love. 3. Yea they make the next round of decisions but it also doesn't help that their first round went out like 2 weeks later than usual. I have a feeling some tweaking will be done especially since they are adding more students. Congrats again to everyone!
  4. Yea. I'm going to George Washington. But the fact that Thanksgiving has passed and my status still hasn't changed and there's so much to do makes me glad I had another choice. It's pretty crazy to still not know. Perhaps next year they'll make the deadlines earlier?
  5. My status still hasn't changed but it doesn't even matter at this point.
  6. Actually if you're going for your ASN it won't take 4 years. Nursing school only requires prereqs and for a ASN degree it's usually the same and alot less. So A&P 1-2, Nutrition, Micro, and maybe a couple others. U can usually get that done in 2 semesters. Not sure where you're located but check out NVCC. They have a hybrid option and I think it's accelerated. It's a ASN but you get it fast.
  7. @marebear82189 you may want to check some colleges and Universities that have accelerated Nursing programs. Mine is 15 months but I'll be in a program with those that already have a Bachelors degree. I'm part of a veteran program. There are universities that offer accelerated programs but you have to look and they are more difficult because of the fast pace. Other than that yes, programs are 2 years after prereqs.
  8. So it's been a while since I even checked this thread or my status but........ I'm still committee ready!! LMAO!!!! This only further lets me know I made the right decision. IDK what's going on this year. I've never seen posts of them making these location mistakes and decisions going like this.
  9. LOL! Ydea pretty much. I think you would have made a great candidate for any program. Ur stats are great! Good luck at MC. We're all still going to be nurses!
  10. Thank you! I've honestly been checking my status just to see. Like, just to know, was I good enough? Did they want me? But yea, I haven't been accepted to them yet. Still on good ole committee ready.
  11. Congrats to everyone that got accepted!! Im honestly shocked to hear that some of you were rejected especially with those stats. My status is still committee ready so I'm really glad I accepted a spot at another school. But man to wait for one schools decision especially right before the holidays is killer! I'm getting ready for my classes to start and just getting all the uniforms and books and registering is stressful enough. I hope those that haven't gotten a decision get one soon and those waitlisted get great news very soon. Hang in there guys. @cmblanc have you applied anywhere else? Have you been accepted there? I'm still in shock.
  12. If you just recently got accepted stand by for a lot of emails to come.
  13. Yes there is. Have you gotten any emails yet? A pre-orientation packet has all the info but look for GW Nursing BSN students
  14. That's GREAT to hear. Like maybe many of you I'm excited and super nervous!
  15. I'll be going to GW. I'm so happy for all of you!! Whether you got accepted to Towson, UMSON, or any other, we're all nursing students. Congrats and good luck to everyone!
