I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
also, can a psychiatrist or psychologist complete the employer reference for me? i work in a small rehab center in the province. i do not have any superior nurse. there are only 3 nurses including me. all of us are batchmates. those who trained us are now working abroad.
the center is owned by a dentist and the psychiatrist. HELP! should i ask my colleague to fill it out or have our psychiatrist complete the forms although he is always in the rehab center. my better option is the psychologist who is always at the rehab, can she fill it out?

From what I remember about the Employment Reference Forms is that we can have a senior nurse or a MD complete the forms, in my case, it was my agency that suggested that I get one reference from a Senior Nurse and one from and MD. Since I work in an L and D and OR complex I had one of the Senior OBGYNE residents complete my form. In truth we can only complete the forms to the best of our ability and wait and see if its passes the NMC's assessment.

It's fine as long as they are superior to your position and they have supervised you for at least a year for the first reference, and at least 3 months for the second reference.

Hello!! I just want to ask if the experience as a Private Duty Nurse can be accepted as a post-registration experience? And if yes, is it fine to ask the head nurse of the floor (where patients are mostly from ICU and required PDN's) to fill in the employer reference form, though the job is not directly under the hospital? I have done this for about six months and I am planning to include it on my registration credentials. I hope someone out there could answer my queries. Thanks.

I think that can be included. Even unpaid voluntary nursing experience can also be included, says my agency. As long as one of the references has supervised you over a year, and the other one for at least 3 months. You can confirm this with your agency as well. They might advise you better. :)

We're in the same agency also but different employer.
Are u still the only person who was able to receive an email feedback from nmc? How about your friends who are also under the newscheme? were they able to receive an email as well?

I don't know the reason behind the hold up.
So frustrating.
Unfortunately the NMC doesnt seem to be consistent with sending out email confirmation of the receipt of our documents. According to the tracking information from my courier, the final batch of my documents were received on April 1st, NMC placed documented formal receipt of the files on April 28 and I was placed in the assessment queue a few weeks later (still waiting for a decision). Through that all I didnt receive any email confirmation.
Can anyone help me? I have submitted all documents to NMC. Yesterday when I logged into my NMC account I could see that, they have
entered 'THIS DOCUMENT IS RECIEVED' near my registration authority verification. But my transcript from college was sent long before this.There is no such update about it. I took the tracking number and checked and it shows my transcript was delivered on 24th April.What should I do? Anyone please help.I am really tensed.
