I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
Hi guys! To those who are already in the Assessment stage, did you guys have problems uploading your documents to your NMC account? I just paid my application fee and I've downloaded all the necessary forms already. But I can't seem to upload anything onto my account! It just keeps giving me an error page. I thought it was with my speed/connection, but it's not the case. Don't tell me this is a bad sign with my application already! I'm trying to be really patient with this.
Is there anyone applying under Medacs/Colchester Uni Hospital? Do you guys know if they have a Philippine counterpart? Need to have someone verify if the documents I have are the ones NMC needs. I don't want to have a failed/lacking Assessment and need to pay another Assessment :'(
Hey guys I just got off the phone with the NMC and according to whoever I spoke to there my application is now under the assessment queue. Thank God it's past the scanning queue. Now they said to wait another 30-90 days. Well I guess I just have to wait again some more (as if waiting to get to the assessment queue wasn't agonizing enough). For reference purposes, all of my documents reached the NMC last March 6, so it takes approximately a month for them to finish scanning *apparently.

I had the same problem..check the size of your scanned docs. I had a problem uploading because the file was too big
Hi Dana, yes you have to email them and request to transfer your old files into the new system including fees et.al. You have to be specific and give details what are the documents you want to be transferred and what are the reasons you want them transferred. It took about a week for them to transfer all my fees and yes all my files from the old system into the new system. I have received my permission to sit the OSCE but given work commitments I have to postpone until next year. Be mindful though that from the time you passed Part 1, your time starts ticking until you reach 24 months.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as me! My registration body (CNO- Canada) does not have a e-mail address, so I cannot put anything in that spot on the application. I try to submit it but it won't let me do it blank or with N/A. Has anyone else had this problem or anyone have any suggestions?
Hi Daisy67.... You might have to scour your university's website for this information. For me, my university had a specific policy...named credit-hour policy. There is also a link on the U.S. education (Ed.gov) website that explains the credit system in the US, compares to other countries, and conversions. It is a long document, but the info is there. The information should be the same as your university. I hope this helps.
I think you're the first I've heard who got news from NMC regarding the OSCE... when did you submit your documents for the assessment phase? Mine were sent in nearly 2 months ago but I am still sitting here waiting... I'm curious to know when yours were submitted to get an idea of how long it actually takes.
