UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

Has anyone had problems logging in since they updated their site? I can't seem to find the overseas login page anymore.

It's still at ireg.nmc-uk.org

Hi foxtrotunicorns

You mentioned in an earlier posting that a handful of people were sitting the OSCE in early April. So assuming these were the among the very few November passers, then the whole waiting process should take 4-5 months!

I am so curious as to how they fared in the OSCE! Has anyone heard?

Hi, I am going to start my online registration process this week. I would like to know whether it is ok to get your employee reference filled by a doctor? Or is it mandatory to be filled by your nursing head?

Im curious about this too, since I havent encountered any one in the forums who is set for the OSCE.

Hi! To all the Filipinos out here, what is the official email address of PRC Manila? I can't find it in the web. Thanks!

what about the email address? there's a tab that's asking for it right?

I haven't heard any news about anyone who took OSCE yet...

Also haven't heard any news from NMC about my documents other than "you are waiting... we're sorry for any delay." So I've given up my fight with them because I have absolutely no control. They will make us wait "up to 90 days, and in some cases longer."

Are you currently in the UK? If so going into the NMC London office between 10-1130am mon-fri usually shows them you are interested and not giving up.. I did, and got news a week later!

i went into their offices a month ago (during those hours), and it was a complete waste of time...

i'm still waiting for news.

hello Filipino applicants! To those who have submitted their NMC documents already, where did you have your medical exam? I'm really having a hard time looking for a doctor who's willing to sign my declaration of good health. Can you suggest any institution? Thanks!
